clare has this forum had a merge before? i don't remember. This is the best forum ever though

      maybe i could look into advertising again but not sure that new people is whats needed as much as having older members return

      COUPLED i think 3 forums have merged into this one: MangaForest (was really small), desuforums and weeb.sx.

          I reckon just having more people itself would help the forum grow naturally... Getting former members back might be easier, idk

          clare oh yeah. I remember weeb.sx now but not the other 2. we need to have a brainstorm session on how to reactivate...

            i could maybe send out another bulk email, that usually works for a litlte. if i pair it with advertising it could work out. though its always a temporary burst of activity, i think its hard to keep people interested in forums and thats fine.

            i guess a good start would be by keeping myself interested. i'm part of the problem

                maybe getting quality affiliates would help as well, in the past i think a bunch of people joined from our affiliates but we have none currently.

                lainchan - i acted pretty immaturely when their new admin sent me an email that i didn't llke the tone of so that fell through years ago
                sushichan & uboachan recently (fairly) removed us from their affiliates, prob due to how quiet we've been lately

                        clare we still appreciate the stuff you have been doing though. Especially with this new update. It is better. I wouldn't know how to drive people here either since i'd just hesitate to tell anyone to join this forum when we already talk on discord or whatever

                            clare please let me know if you run into any issues or have any feedback!

                            Slight layout issue on the typing indicator on mobile~

                                I do also wonder if it would be better if the thread icons showed the avatar of the last poster, rather than the OP. At least it feels a bit unintuitive to me for it to be the OP ^^'

                                  I also was kinda serious about the notification idea ^^' Ain't nothing like occasionally reminding someone that something's happening to keep them coming back~

                                    COUPLED yeah thats p much the main issue, there's no real reason to use a forum over discord except for personal preference.

                                    i kinda agree but not sure it should be positioned where it is currently. i do think first poster avatar is kinda useless info though.

                                    malmon i think the features to get notifications from thread replies and stuff are in place already but not sure i can just go and set them up for everyone. maybe i can bulk email and have some sort of reminder to review the notification setitngs
