I'm not solipsistic by any stretch of the word, but sometimes things happen that make me feel like this world is a simulation. Like anomalies that might be explained as glitches, or uncannily perfect or repetitive-seeming strangers that act like lazily-programmed NPCs in a video game.

One time at the start of a trip to Atlanta, I saw some people playing basketball, and they were still doing it when I got back even though it had been over 8 hours. There was also this little girl kneeling in the center of a tennis court with absolutely no one watching her. And then there's stuff like deja vu.

I don't know, some people just seem to follow stereotypes too closely as well. Does anyone else get this feeling on occasion?

Honestly m8, I think you're approaching things from the wrong angle.

What you see as mundane and banal, I might see (on my better days, at least) as an invitation for the imagination: Who is that person? What does he do? How did he get to where he is? What strikes me is that you're clearly a fan of people-watching, but completely disregard the nuances of the individuals you watch.

That's not to say everything and everyone's worth watching, but I'd imagine one would find himself much happier if he learned to sit down; observe, and appreciate the little eccentricities of everyday life.

I was thinking: "How did i started watching anime, and who introduced me to it?" Here's my cool story.
The dude was a security guard and the guards cabinet was right beside our shop (then a Photo Studio, now a growshop). While i used to visit gameshops, i loved one of them who had all kinds of anime games. We used to watch anime with the guard and the store clerk and it was awesome. He once came into our photo studio with a truckload of anime posters of the season like Evangelion which i still have.
Shit aside, his boss who was an old raggy bitch used to slave him, making him work on holidays and shit, blackmailing him of stuff i don't really know and shit. The dude actually killed her and hid her body into the buliding's dumpster for a week or so. Long story short, the Police found out and he's in the slammer now. I still have some Video Girl Ai VHS tapes from him, maybe when he gets out i'll give them back.
