malmon Was in the same situation, kinda lost in all the variants and surge in prices. What did you end up getting? An e36 uh, sounds comfy. I went with a Clio 3 myself, good shitbox.

clare Tbf I don't think it misses features. Also probably come from one of the chans.

Dontmindme Yep, the E36~ I had looked at a lot of cars online before getting my one, and 3 irl, but for a long time prices just kept going up, ones that looked good were sold the next day, etc. It felt pretty hopeless for a while ^_^'7

Gradually been recovering from my three-year-long psychotic episode. I regret to say that a great deal of my books and tech are lost forever, or donated. On the bright side, I might be getting my tablet back, and I salvaged almost all of my music collection.

I tell ya, life can be quite cruel sometimes, but it can also be wonderful. I might've spent thousands of dollars, and be on-track to lose my job, but what matters is I persevered, and ultimately rejoined reality.

I personally couldn't be happier. The future might hold new challenges, but also new opportunities. I'm gonna live every day to the fullest.

Backlash I knew you could do it, Sophe. Thank you for persevering, and here's hoping it's nothing by downhill from here ^_^

IlIlIlIlIl That is certainly true! Haruhi's pretty cool too, though I haven't seen the show ^^'7

        action required: snooze through deadlines

malmon I can definitely relate! Is your car insurance cost alright?
Backlash Welcome back to reality, glad you managed to make it.

Thought of the day: having to buy tools before being able to work is a very shitty thing. No tools no work, no work no money, no money no tools. They end up making you money in the long run so it's not that bad but when I see the prices I'd rather put that in food.

Dontmindme I can definitely relate! Is your car insurance cost alright?

Currently, yes. I pay about £80 a month to insure my E36, and about £35 for my Volvo S40. However, I'm super glad you mentioned this, because I totally forgot that the E36's insurance runs out this month, and the company I'm with want to hike the price up to £121 a month! I'll have to find a different one sharpish.

This sucks for so many things. Even just working on cars - there's always some specialised tool you need to do the one goddamn job you need doing.

my tests are yielding, deadline receding. situation excellent: i am napping

i'm not close to anyone irl and it sucks!
          it really sucks

Snapped a bolt trying to remove the throttle body position sensor from my Volvo... fuck 😐

I just had a very eerie expierience. I was taking a nap, and as I was slowly drifting off, I felt my body fall asleep. I felt my muscles relax, my arms slide off my torso to my sides (I'm a side sleeper, but I like my naps on my back, else I sleep too deep and wake up all confused), and even my jaw drop as I resting my back on a big pillow and have had my body and head up high. I thought I was sleeping with my mouth open, but it was just my jaw, and my lips stayed closed together.

I wanted to try and move my arm to see if I had sleep paralysis (I was pretty excited about that as I've had sleep paralysis a couple times before in my life, and contrary to most people's expierience with it, I liked it a lot), but I didn't want to wake up in case I did manage to move it.

I stayed half aware and in controll of my thoughts for a little while, though my brain felt foggy, but my head followed soon and I just fell asleep.

          It was a good nap.

WorstFriend I've had sleep paralysis a couple times before in my life, and contrary to most people's expierience with it, I liked it a lot

You're gonna have to elaborate on this ^^'7 I tend to find it either pretty scary, or annoying

              malmon

I don't know what else to say. I remember I had it at least twice, but probably more. Nothing bad happened to me, and it was quite a unique expierience.

One time I had it while still dreaming, so I saw both my dream and my room with my eyes open. I remember I was sitting awkwardly in a little jeep in that dream, and it was pretty dark all around with no shadows, must have been a very late dusk. That time I think I was able to move, but very, very slowly. Like I was submerged in honey. You ever pretended that you're in a film with a slow-motion part as a kid? It was kinda like that. At least I think those were the same instances, that awake dreaming and slow motion movement could have been two different times.

Second one I don't remember that much, I think I had my face in a pillow or otherwise couldn't see much. Couldn't move at all either so I did what you're supposed to do when you want to wake up from your sleep paralysis. I focused really hard on moving a single body part. I think it was toes for me. Took me what felt like a second or two, and a few more seconds after I managed to move them, I woke up completely.

No demons. Just an eerie otherwordly mix of dreams and reality. What's not to love.

I have one more cool dream expierience to share, though unrelated to sleep paralysis. Sometimes, and yesterday was especially vivid, I can see things around me with my eyes closed when I'm falling asleep. It feels so real, that yesterday I was wondering if I really had my eyes closed. I could see my room, and it worked even when I moved my head. I assume it's just my brain displaying a screenshot of sorts of my room, and not my third eye opening or something. Nontheless, a very fun expierience.

WorstFriend That's pretty interesting... Of course nothing bad would have happened - it's just sleep paralysis! But yeah, some sort of shadowy or demonic presence is a common feeling, so it's rather suprising that your experiences have been largely positive.

WorstFriend One time I had it while still dreaming, so I saw both my dream and my room with my eyes open.

I think I've had this happen too! This is what tends to make it scary... That you're "awake", but you can't move. You're never too sure if it's just sleep paralysis, or real paralysis, until the rest of your body catches up ^^'

WorstFriend I can see things around me with my eyes closed when I'm falling asleep

This state might be pretty common too... or at least some form of it. Like some people feel like they're falling just before falling asleep, which can suck because it wakes you right up again ^^' I sometimes get hypnic jerks before falling asleep, which always feel a bit strange.

finally getting around to changing my name and gender on my license and passport. Getting my name change form notarized tomorrow and going to civil court office on monday. Getting this all done now because it is finally time and also before the election bc if trump gets elected honestly i'm p sure they'll try to make it impossible to do all this. I mean they already made this impossible to do in florida, where i was born so I'll never be able to change my birth certificate, unfortunately. I'm just glad I don't live there anymore so I have this opportunity at least. Anyway it is actually all good for the most part on my end things are alright : )
