Yeah, hi. I remember Madoka Magica was really popular here, there were even some RP battles going on, I kind of envied that. Also some drama about links to lain and the rest of the chans. I can't remember what year it was, must have been somewhere between 2014 and 2018. I did write some posts, but the only one I remember is when I wrote that I would name my band 2AMPE, and I got a compliment on it! (can't remember from who, sorry)

malmon I sold it because the underside got so rusty, it couldn't even be lifted by the sills. I'm still bitter about it, mostly because I'm rather submissive and sold it for way less than it was worth. It had the original M sport package and a lot of valuable parts could be recovered.
malmon Ye, I explicitly stated that the underside is beyond repair and still got like a dozen responses. Then I sold the car to the first and lowest bidder.
Anyway, I'm glad that the E36 finds its way into soulful hands. I think it's a rather underappreciated car with a poor reputation. In my experience it doesn't take nearly as much care as some haters say it does, and it's far more refined than how it may seem. Really I think it's one of the most brilliant cars of the 90s, with an amazing quality to price ratio.
On a different note, some time ago I got the idea that a car is a physical manifestation of its designer's dream. I wish you the determination to keep the dream alive.
E36_fiend Once man's "beyond repair" is another man's welding project. Worst case you can just rebuild the shell from scratch, or part it out.
The E36 is certainly refined in some ways more than others. Ride quality, for example, is immensely better in the E36 than my Volvo S40. The interior. however, certainly feels more... basic. I'm not sure about the price to quality ratio... Maybe before Covid that was true, but ever since their prices have been silly. My one was a complete fluke in terms of pricing: £6200 for a manual non-sunroof 328i with like, 58k miles on the clock. Normally they'd go for over £10k in that condition.
I really want to do my best to keep the dream alive. While maintenance so far hasn't really been that bad, considering its age, it's still an expensive hobby! I can probably think of at least £5k of stuff I still need/want to do to the car.
I'm alive and kicking. Things turning worse and better. Never stop gratefully for the life.
Dontmindme Yep, the E36~ I had looked at a lot of cars online before getting my one, and 3 irl, but for a long time prices just kept going up, ones that looked good were sold the next day, etc. It felt pretty hopeless for a while ^_^'7

Gradually been recovering from my three-year-long psychotic episode. I regret to say that a great deal of my books and tech are lost forever, or donated. On the bright side, I might be getting my tablet back, and I salvaged almost all of my music collection.
I tell ya, life can be quite cruel sometimes, but it can also be wonderful. I might've spent thousands of dollars, and be on-track to lose my job, but what matters is I persevered, and ultimately rejoined reality.
I personally couldn't be happier. The future might hold new challenges, but also new opportunities. I'm gonna live every day to the fullest.
i wish this forum was more active
IlIlIlIlIl Yeah... It is what it is v_v

IlIlIlIlIl That is certainly true! Haruhi's pretty cool too, though I haven't seen the show ^^'7

malmon I can definitely relate! Is your car insurance cost alright?
Backlash Welcome back to reality, glad you managed to make it.
Thought of the day: having to buy tools before being able to work is a very shitty thing. No tools no work, no work no money, no money no tools. They end up making you money in the long run so it's not that bad but when I see the prices I'd rather put that in food.

Currently, yes. I pay about £80 a month to insure my E36, and about £35 for my Volvo S40. However, I'm super glad you mentioned this, because I totally forgot that the E36's insurance runs out this month, and the company I'm with want to hike the price up to £121 a month! I'll have to find a different one sharpish.

This sucks for so many things. Even just working on cars - there's always some specialised tool you need to do the one goddamn job you need doing.
my tests are yielding, deadline receding. situation excellent: i am napping
