Sending in a new Tulpa named Kania to address all of Earth as of 11:17.

Kania: _"We warned you, humanity. You made grave mistakes throughout history that which you cannot easily redeem. Given the drastic escalation of your pitiless moves at each other as of late, you have sparked the latest soon-to-be tragedy that will be the annihilation of all known civilizations you call it home. It is not about why you really want to do this, but what you really want to achieve. Your continuing quarreling of one another will only quicken your own species' doom, whilst we observe with disbelief at the very prospect of a catastrophe you long thought to hold it back."

"You sown what you reap for conquest, only to find no reward for your bloodied hands, the very world you walked on for many a millennia as a result of your ultimate undoing will be reclaimed in time by the forces of nature. Fail to heed this all you want, but this bitter tone is an omen of your impending tribulation to come."_

  • Kania the Tulpa of Humanity's Omens

I had a thought some time ago, which I think originates from me randomly thinking of Xidnaf again. For those who don't know, his is a now-dormant YouTube channel that covered various topics in linguistics, and one of these was (probably~) Directionality in the Australian Aboriginal languages. See, while everyone else we know of has at least two ways to express direction - one relative to objects, one relative to the entire earth - Aborigines only have the latter, meaning they have to constantly keep mind of the direction they're facing.

Obviously, this creates problems in the modern world. Sure, we have GPS and smartphones today, but it's not ideal for the hypothetical traveler to need to check her compass all the time.

I wondered, what if it weren't like that? What if train cars were equipped with compasses from the early days of industry, and we made gyros cheap and wrist-mountable by the 20th century? Better yet, what if the landing to a staircase, or the exit to an elevator were adorned with compasslike patterns inlaid into the floor? Then even the poorest citizens could orient themselves with just a quick glance at their feet.

I found it an interesting thought, at least. Might incorporate it into my stories someday, perhaps an ace pilot from a shattered people... ✨

Backlash All that sounds more difficult than just adding some words to the vocabulary ^^' It's interesting though. I don't really know anything about the Aboriginals, but I suppose a lack of vocabulary for relative positioning kinda implies that they never had to deal with organising small objects.

random thought. random rant I guess?

But I guess people who know me and have seen my posts back in the day. I was pretty depressed back in the day.

I am glad to say that I have finally gotten professional help and medication for my depression. I just wish I did this 5 years ago 🙂

Yuu_ Congrats! I hope you're feeling better now then <3 What did they put you on?

And no, that is not the reasons. I've had chronic sleep deprivation for years now haha. Atm I just have a problem going to bed on time.

            Need to git gud.

            Everything will be daijobu

Good afternoon people, it's been a while since my last post here. To be honest i'm always changing and somehow i feel i'm always represented by this thread, it's hilarious. I love reading your thoughts, keep it up <3

Yuu_ <3 Yeah, I "struggle" with that too ^^'7 I'd probably struggle less if I showered in the mornings instead of the evenings, as there would be less overhead to going to bed...

                  laifot Hiya~ I hope you're doing well ^_^

laifot Long time since I saw your face around here 🙂 Glad to see you're still around.

Amen. This is the eternal thread.

malmon Would probably sleep more if I wasnt overdosed on nicotine 24/7 😉 Might look into that some day... hehe.

Yuu_ Huh, interesting - never heard of that before~ What does it taste like?

                            • Yuu_ replied to this.

malmon Kind of mint/gum. Swedish snus has hundreds of different flavours... energy drink, liqourice, menthol, mint etc.. a lot to choose from.

I mostly do tobacco-free with artificial nicotine. Tastes better.

Yuu_ I mostly do tobacco-free with artificial nicotine

That just sounds like the most unhealthy variant lmao

very bored of life, never motivated to do anything outside of work anymore, so many unfinished projects 😀

clare glances at the ESP32 on his desk... Though had I known that the SDK for that thing was gonna be so bloated and annoying to use, I'd have bought a different board lol
