Is that cheese in there?

    malmon

Indeed it is. Butter, some sausage, tomatoes, cheese, some sprouts, but I don't know the plant's english name, and mayo. Just a bit of everything for a solid morning start. Pretty tasty too, the tomatoes made it way too wet though, but they're good and healthy and I haven't had any in some time.

Chopsticks are nice. I bought some some time ago, don't have many opportunities to use them though. Not very good with them either, but I bought them to practice so I don't make a fool out of myself next time I go to some Japanese restaurant or something.

I hope your stir fry was tasty!

I've been trying out the carnivore diet since Sunday in an attempt to sort out my IBS issues. Gotta say that on day 6, I'm feeling surprisingly good.

The first 3 days were hell, though. Zero energy while your body adjusts to ketosis, and pretty bad diarrhoea.

Now though, I feel pretty fine! Before, I'd always be bloated full of cramps after a meal. That seems to have gone. And I go to bed with a flat stomach.

Some of my IBS symptoms aren't 100% gone, but what can one expect after 6 days, after all?

There are big downsides though... pretty obvious ones too. Meat, good meat, is expensive. Meal costs have probably tripled at least for me. Also, eating nothing but meat and some dairy gets old, very fast. At least for me. While I'm glad that 70-80% of my IBS symptoms have gone, I'm left dreading meal times - especially lunch at work. Perhaps with more planning, I could've devised a more interesting meal plan, but I'm not sure how sustainable that would be either.

I think that from this Sunday, I'll start moving towards something more like a keto diet. Introducing some vegetables and nuts. If nothing else, it will hopefully make it more obvious what foods were giving me so much grief normally.

malmon glad it's working out for you but yea sucks about the cost and inconvenience
what kinda meat have you been eating?

COUPLED Mostly lamb and veal... I'm aware I'm not doing myself any favours cost-wise there, but my mum had foot the bill this week ^^'7 Though veal isn't really a great choice for this diet, because it's rather lean.

That plus eggs and Greek yoghurt, mostly. Have had some pork too - the pork & offal sausages we got from an online farm were really nice (nothing compared to Polish ones, but those are not really suitable for a carnivore diet).

Also a bit of raw milk, though in moderation, as it contains sugar.

malmon you ever seen that dude who started seeping cholesterol right out of his hands from his carnivore diet (it was a pretty insane fucked up carnivore diet)
