It is such a great operating system once you realize you have >complete< control over your system. Unlike what Microsoft has done to Windows as of late.
Anyway, heres my shit.

It's Arch Linux running XFCE as the desktop environment. I'm running the Arc GTK theme.

You are using Mavericks? Damn, I really like pre-yosemite style but I have to upgrade OS X for the latest XCode version due to work.

I know your pain. I enjoy older versions of OSX. El Capitan is a fucking disaster. But you can't escape it if you want to use the newest versions of software... I love my macbook but holy fuck Apple is getting worse and worse in the OS game.

Feels like the QA department of Apple is lowering their standards for every new release, the most stable version of OS X I have used is Mavericks.
Switched to a light themed desktop for the first time in years.

Maybe you should consider changing your background lighting or monitor brightness instead of what you're looking at. I'm sick of this "icba to turn on the lights so everything has to have a dark theme" shit.

You have me all wrong - I hate using screens in the dark. The only exceptions are for when I'm watching TV shows or movies with a lot of dark scenes, like GoT.

If your eyes hurt looking at a white screen and you have the lights on, then either the lights aren't bright enough or you should turn down your monitor brightness.
Pretty simple. I like to keep it clean with the maiden in black.
Wee...
