My old computer's HDD died earlier this month, so I've recently obtained a new Japanese laptop. Luckily pretty much everything I had on that HDD is backed up, so I was able to continue as usual. The only thing I'm really down about losing are a lot of nice desktop backgrounds and the raw footage of my first-ever 1cc in a Touhou game (I have the footage of the replay on YouTube, but I pause in it to show stuff and it has my voice over it).

what laptop did you get?

I got a Fujitsu Lifebook FMV AH. 8GB RAM, 1TB memory.
Though I'm on Lewd I'm not much of a PC/tech nerd so I can't offer a ton of intimate details (clearly the fact that I'm using a laptop at all shows that I'm not one of those guys who invests in a gaming rig or anything like that).

And yes, I could have lost so much more. I guess I also lost a decent amount of JAVs I didn't have backed up, but I'm on a torrent site where I can re-download them, so no big loss. And they're not too hard to find on a streaming site if it comes to that.
