lewd.io - A concept.

I've decided to finally write a thread about Lewd.io and what it will be.

Here's an old-ish screenshot of Lewd.io:

The idea is that the images in the gallery on the left are pulled from the image links posted in the chat, creating a really easy image sharing platform for anyone.

Users will be able to create their own channels to share whatever kind of images they want, with settings like "invite only".

Because of the way it is being coded, it will be fairly easy to create native apps on any platform.

I'm not quite sure how that'd work, seeing as the only information I'd get about the image is the URL. c:

Hopefully you'll get options to flag it as NSFW when posting an image link.

@Senpai You could probably auto embed images in the chatbox and add a little option to flag as NSFW and when its posted to the main gallery, add a little blurred transparency layer to it. When a user clicks on an nsfw image, simply have a dialog box come up with the appropriate *content. ie. THIS IS NSFW, 18+ ONLY or something like that

I could do something similar to player.me and treat the image as "nsfw" when the message contains the word "nsfw".

That would introduce a period where the images would be posted to the gallery and open for all to see, an auto system would be much more fitting. You can also enforce laws this way against not flagging it.

I guess it'd be no different to other online chats, where the mods clean out unwanted content after it has been seen.

I'll be adding things like "hide this image" and "report this image" to the gallery, beyond that there's nothing I can really do beyond adding a filter for the word "nsfw".

I think that's good, we can trust the community enough to report/flag an inappropriate image for the channel based on the user's integrity to tag it as such, or having the others do so.
