I've decided to finally write a thread about Lewd.io and what it will be. Here's an old-ish screenshot of Lewd.io: The idea is that the images in the gallery on the left are pulled from the image links posted in the chat, creating a really easy image sharing platform for anyone. Users will be able to create their own channels to share whatever kind of images they want, with settings like "invite only". Because of the way it is being coded, it will be fairly easy to create native apps on any platform. [hide]There's a preview of Lewd.io here that hasn't been updated in a long ass time.[/hide]

Will there be a filter for regular images and nsfw ones?

Senka wrote Will this replace lewdchan.com? That's entirely up to the users. I'll continue to host lewdchan. mis wrote Will there be a filter for regular images and nsfw ones? I'm not quite sure how that'd work, seeing as the only information I'd get about the image is the URL. c:

mis wrote Will there be a filter for regular images and nsfw ones? Hopefully you'll get options to flag it as NSFW when posting an image link. @Senpai You could probably auto embed images in the chatbox and add a little option to flag as NSFW and when its posted to the main gallery, add a little blurred transparency layer to it. When a user clicks on an nsfw image, simply have a dialog box come up with the appropriate *content. ie. THIS IS NSFW, 18+ ONLY or something like that

Something like Ridorii suggested, where the user can tag it as nsfw, or the chat people viewing the image could do the same, maybe?

Ridorii~ wrote mis wrote Will there be a filter for regular images and nsfw ones? Hopefully you'll get options to flag it as NSFW when posting an image link. I could do something similar to player.me and treat the image as "nsfw" when the message contains the word "nsfw".

mis wrote Something like Ridorii suggested, where the user can tag it as nsfw, or the chat people viewing the image could do the same, maybe? Chat owners will be able to set moderators, so yeah, I could give them the ability to tag stuff as nsfw.

That would introduce a period where the images would be posted to the gallery and open for all to see, an auto system would be much more fitting. You can also enforce laws this way against not flagging it.

You can also enforce laws this way against not flagging it. There's no real way to detect all nsfw images automatically, systems end up tagging things wrong. I guess it'd be no different to other online chats, where the mods clean out unwanted content after it has been seen. I'll be adding things like "hide this image" and "report this image" to the gallery, beyond that there's nothing I can really do beyond adding a filter for the word "nsfw".

I think that's good, we can trust the community enough to report/flag an inappropriate image for the channel based on the user's integrity to tag it as such, or having the others do so.

Lokorfi wrote How about somehow getting exhentai images to work in lewd.io then? Some people find it too much of a hassle to get that shit to work on their computer (like me). H-hey it's not so bad, I could come over and show you how to get the lewds, teehee, and, maybe browse some together ... to test it, I mean. ouo On the topic of lewd.io, though, I love much <3

lewd.io - A concept.

What if I post all the (sfw?related) images?

I'm not quite sure I understand.

I think he means, is he allowed to make an archive thread of all sfw pictures posted on lewd.io?

If that's not what he means then I dont quite understand either.

He'd definitely be allowed to, if that's what he means. :scream:

I haven't worked on it as much as I would've liked, but it's definitely coming along. c:

I plan on redoing the whole lot using Laravel, with node being used only for realtime.

That also parses an error.

Sometimes projects die off, you'll get used to it.
Although I agree that this does seem pretty rad.

Yeah pretty sad this died off. Looked great on the screenshots.
