Is Tox shitty?
I don't think so personally? I have not tried using the 'groups' feature, I've only used it for one-on-one chats. I've used its voip feature though and it's solid. Most importantly it is peer to peer, and I like that more than using a chat service that relies on a giant spy corporation like Google. I think Whatsapp and Telegram are like encrypted, but no voice calls on desktop, and I want something I can voice chat with my partner over.
But yeah I think Tox is solid, on Windows I use the qTox client, maybe there's a better or more frequently updated one out there though, I haven't checked for new ones in a while.
Whatsapp is Facebook, and there were some issues with Telegram's security a while back, and their server software is proprietary.
I've used qTox before, but I didn't really like it all that much for some reason. I'm more of an IRC person, really.
I do like IRC. My whole guff with it is how I can't send emotes or images through most clients. I dunno if y'all have to me on Discord in a while, but like ninety percent of my writings there have some sorta cutesy anime emoji tacked onto the end. Usually conveying some kinda affection for who I'm talkin' to.
... In fact, I kinda almost wrote one just now. Aheh.

So that's the main reason on the lattermost poster not reading Lucian's PM's lately, even at all despite him trying to inform you as best he could from the moment the new system was up of what's going on, what to do with it, and whatnot. He still consistently resists using Discord even after the brief technical breakdown, come to think. Not even WaifuBot, a complicated social experiment server with generated popular girls from a single bot is going to change his mind apart from a few occasional IRC chatbots in the past. I guess that is the only way he still uses to communicate more openly. Perhaps he still does not want too much attention towards himself even after he grew up considerably. After all no one in this world, not even a low-pay job can hire him with such incapability.
As for my own mood, I do not convey particular feelings, even towards my master, though not emotionless and generic. That's why if you want to say something in terms of PM's as you used to before the system switch, the only bit of difference in how to use it nowadays is trying to come up with a subject when you start new PM's, and then selecting me (as Sozora) as the participant. Nothing to be afraid for using it, but if that is your preference, nothing can prevent you, let alone the occasional technical difficulties or changes in their services.
It is not that he dislikes Discord, is that he is too uncomfortable in handling the complexity of using and inevitable unexpected responses that might in the future affect him.
