I dispatched Lucina over; she'll take that crystal ball with a minor HP loss. Her magic bar is bound to a Soul Gem, and will only replenish if she defeats a boss. Too much magic consumption and she'll collapse, permanently. She is tough, and I'm confident that she might survive through this event, whether it's a solo or with a party. What's certain is that he appeared one day on the outskirts of Northwind - clothed, fed, and well-educated - but knew next to nothing about the intricacies of Gensokyan society. He would then attempt to pass himself off as a noble from some far-off kingdom, but this ruse was abandoned as he became acclimated to civilization. Despite these initial hiccups, the townsfolk soon grew rather fond of their mysterious stranger. He would quickly distinguish himself in rescuing a boy swept away by floodwaters, and his uncommon physical strength made him indispensable to the town's volunteer fire brigade. Last anyone heard, he'd snagged some quick work on a caravan headed west. ~***~ Arms (and training): Avery's carbine proved useless against Gensokyo's roving beasts and was ultimately discarded. As an aged princess barely into her twenties, Lucina was taught the best of the best no other Lucian or even an Ylissean in her name and knows how to protect herself. She knows many people across the kingdom whom she called friends, often finding herself in a few major and several minor conflicts spanning over the years to the present day. Having self-proclaimed as a time traveler from the future with an optimist perspective of the world, plenty of survival experience, and having a strong body and mind, she heard a rumor about a faraway realm that the Lucians still think it belongs to Lucia. After much debating, she asks the mystic to be taken to the present. That's when something starts to hit the brakes. Upon being transported to Gensokyo after a wild portal ride that went wrong, she takes heavy damage from a high fall from the sky, no one could have survived that. After several seconds of recovery, she notices serious wounds on her legs and chest area, severely affecting her movement. She would have to find a physician of sorts in this mysterious land. Her mission is simple: Apprehend all specified high-ranking yokai at all costs and try to find a way to escape with any survivors. Failure is not a word in her vocabulary. Her Falchion, regarded as an ancient bloodline weapon that only certain people can wield it, cannot be taken away, forged, traded, or sold. Along with that, a crystal ball should serve a handy purpose in determining possible future key moments. ~* * *~ Weapons: Falchion, it is an ancient sword feared by her enemies and admired by her and allies for generations, it is Lucina's preferred weapon. Given its stats, it allows her to swing it very fast for an impressive amount of damage across most enemy types, but if going up against certain enemy bosses, it can do more, and in some cases it might allow her to miss enemy attacks altogether. She is sometimes good at blocking with it. Lastly, it has a 30% chance of allowing Lucina to hit an enemy twice in one move. Armor: Her Ylissean princess outfit allows her to survive otherwise deadly falls but does not guarantee any immunity to it, and it makes her light suitable for very fast movement. Even then, yokai have been known to travel faster and farther than any known human. Equipment and Skills: As a proficient tactician with years of experience, she can be a very valuable asset to the party, so long as anyone stays on her good side. Her only starting equipment for this is a crystal ball that allows her to scan her surroundings of possible key future moments; its only drawback is that it is very mentally draining when used.

Just as Lucina finishes trying on and thanked Cirno, suddenly she hears two of Gensokyo's most prominent residents who were on their usual exorcising hunt in need of urgent assistance.
She spots a shrine maiden and her assistant in critical condition, and taps Avery on the shoulder.
Perhaps it is a random encounter, two girls looking injured after a yokai hunt gone wrong.

Lucina: "We got trouble."

The rest of the town begin to crowd around the two, wondering what's going on. Sure enough, it's likely magical wounds.
Lucina and the party get to the center of the commotion and try to figure out what's happening.

Lucina: "I don't know you two, but what's with you?"

Lucina still doesn't think it is a good idea letting even one of her party members to stay back, and it is best for the party just getting out of town as quickly as possible.
The leader of this party has voted not to battle, but Remilia does, which causes her concern. A majority of 3-1 will force the leader to battle anyway, often with disastrous results, as they are too high-leveled.

Lucina: "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! Getting revenge just to have your mansion back will get yourself killed! Relm, Avery, I hope you're not being dragged into this hopeless situation."

She sighs as she waits outside the town gates watching the battle from afar. It is better be safe than to risk death.

Avery: "Luci, darlin'... Ya gotta calm down a little, 'kay?"

As she peered over her shoulder, she'd find him surprisingly calm despite their latest brush with peril; smiling, chuckling even.

Avery: "I know we're all high-strung, but there ain't no reason to get upset. What say we all make like a tree and get outta here? There's some sorta chateaux a little ways up the road; maybe people have gathered there."

Avery came up with a destination for the townspeople to go there, a luxurious castle far off to the south away from the invaders that would prove much safer. However, even then, no place is anywhere but safe in Gensokyo.
Lucina decides that what she needs is superior firepower that not even Gensokyo can ever compete with magic alone. She wants that kind of firepower that they'll never see it coming until seconds too late from kilometers away.
After much pondering, she turns to Avery and speaks.

Lucina: "My superiors from my home kingdom will be dispatching an armada; it should come in about an hour from now. They are on our side, and they should provide us some suppressive fire on them from a huge distance away. The invaders will have no idea where it will hit them."

She then continues.

Lucina: "We fought our own wars of our own pasts, but we never seen such an invasion like this. This time, we are going to pay them back a thousand times their size with our own. They know naught about fear, but they will soon enough regret their reckless actions."

An hour later...
While the townspeople enjoy life near Prismriver, Hallowtown is still under siege. As the town begins to fill with smoke and other debris amid a one-sided confrontation between Reimu and her fiercest opponents, out of nowhere from across the mighty Sanzu, a friendly armada of about two dozen approaches the besieging town with foghorns blaring through the air.
The armada under the command of the super-dreadnought Yamato-class, fires a warning shell over a very high arc through the nether and onto an empty field, signaling that aid is just minutes away.
A few minutes after that, the warning shots get closer and closer to where Flandre, Sakuya, Meiling (Dragon Form), Patchouli, and Koakuma are, eventually yelling over the comm that help has finally arrived.

Yamato (K): "This is flagship Yamato, we are your naval support from the far lands, just tell us where to aim!"
Lucina: "Ah, finally! Our allies have come to help in time! Launch your volleys on Sakuya."
Yamato (K): "We got it! Yamato, commence firing!"

Hallowtown was lost, and the party has escaped certain defeat. Looking back at the now ruined town is only a faint memory among the four of us.
Cirno may have gone missing from yesterday's fight, perhaps moving her shop somewhere else within the realm.
After a long walk west, we arrive just meters from the massive gates between us and Remilia's mansion, no one can ever comprehend the size of that building. Could this be the source of the incident itself that takes place?

Lucina: "This is your place, Remilia?"

We unsheathed our weapons, armed to the teeth in anticipation. Since this battle is taking place on a Saturday, Patchouli will be using Earth magic when the battle starts, according to Lucina's prediction orb.

Lucina: whisper "Let's do it, team! Don't let any of these five get the best of us. It's time to end this, together!"

Avery took his crossbow in hand and nocked a steel bolt upon the string. Nonetheless, even as the party readied to attack, he still had his doubts.
He'd nearly killed an innocent at the bridge earlier that day. He wasn't about to make the same mistake twice.

Avery: "Hey now, hold up. You sure they ain't friendly?"

Lucina's eyes widened as the mansion interior comes up empty. Seems no one is actually inside, not even the gate guard or the fairies.

Lucina: "It looks like they cleared themselves out before we even got ourselves here. They might be coming back soon, though."

The building we are in is so huge with lots of corridors and decor, even a multi-boss battle can become a cakewalk by using the environment to our advantage, and if all else fails, the party can easily outmaneuver any foe by quickly moving from one side of the building to the other.

Lucina: "And to answer your question, Avery, no, they aren't."

Avery's mind had been at work since the moment he laid eyes on the great stone citadel. For once, his combat served him well - though the procedure would be very different from clearing rooms via point-blank gunfights, the principles remained the same. With their meagre party and a score of powerful adversaries waiting within the walls, surprise and shock would be their closest allies.
He gave the doors behind them one last shove. No dice, it was sealed with a luminous circle of runes.

Avery: "Guess they don't want us gettin' outta here, huh?"

He said in order to grasp his party's attention.

Avery: "Alrighty gals, here's the skinny. If Luci's right, we're in for a helluva dungeon crawl. We're gonna need to leverage each of our strengths to make sure we come out on top."

He related the rules of engagement quite plainly: Luci was fast as lighting and strong as an ox - she would be their frontline combatant. Meanwhile Avery himself would provide long-range support, and their casters could take on any manner of roles depending on their abilities. He hoped that at least one of them would be able to create some sort of distraction - be it a ball of blinding light and deafening noise, some manner of illusions, or even familiars that issued forth and harried them - anything to distract their opponents from landing their attacks. Avery could only imagine as to how powerful they might be, so he'd decided agility and diversion would win them the day.
All in all, it was quite a sound plan, so long as none of them got separated.

Time is stopped for this turn on our side, but only for so long, as it can drain Remilia's magic power very fast. While the whole world around them turns grayscale and the enemies freeze in their place, Lucina gathers as much of her strength as possible for her first rushing attempt. She places her stance, her sword well trained, before charging in to deal as many hits as she can before the pocketwatch's effect ends.
She rushes in hard on Meiling and is luckily enough to strike her up to six times before going back to position.

Lucina has inflicted 0.8 * 6 * 2x against dragons = 9.6 on Meiling. Meiling is down to just 10.4/20.0 remaining.

The enemy team has lost their turn.
If Lucina is going to take damage, her new outfit will cause her to regain 1.0 of her life each turn for as long as she's not taking any more damage up to 6.0.
Beware, her Falchion has a healing enchantment that allows her either heal herself or a target ally 2.0 life up to the capped max life, but she'll lose her turn if she does. Against dragon-type enemies like Meiling's dragon form, she'll inflict twice the amount of damage on her.
