Ahh, I'd forgotten how much I liked the cooler weather. There's just something special about walking alone on a chilly night. In lieu of the sun beating down on your head, your center of sensation moves inward as you shutter yourself from the cold. You become occupied with your thoughts, yet nonetheless acutely aware of the world around you. On my best days, I've even felt as if I could better empathize with my friends, or even random strangers. Perhaps this is just me, and winter just makes me happier for some reason. Regardless, it's really somethin'.

I spent my past four winters in Oregon and being back in Texas reminds me how much I miss the cold. At least there's finally something of a breeze here.

Tonight is the night with mid 30's for me, and some rain to go with that, too. D:

Living in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Yellowknife and the Northwest Territories in general are constantly in the double digit negatives compared to here where we only get stretches of harsher coldness.

Russia is like another dimension of cold lol.

What a strange day. First it felt as if the cold were seeping in through the windows and doorsills, now it feels like a typical night in late spring. Yet somehow it's hovered around the same temperature all day long.

Do you not have your heating on a timer? You could make it turn off overnight and come on before you wake up.
