Get this, right? So I'm driving to the pharmacy about a month or so back - bear in mind I lived in the ghetto, so I'm accustomed to the occasional oddity. Anyhoo, I'm stuck in line for a traffic light when I hear these kickass speakers comin' up on my left blasting rap music.
Initially I thought someone was tryna cut; maybe having a bad day and all? Naw, instead I see this 60-year-old black dude on a motorized chair comin' up the sidewalk, bags slung under the armrests, with this giant rear-facing boombox right under his seat. And I'm just sittin' there like "Oh. My. God. That's awesome."
Coincidentally, I saw the same dude two years back, going the wrong way up a one-way street while blasting Wu-Tang Clan. The gal in front of me turned around and said "Shoulda gotten that Snap, doe!", which pretty much made my day.
They were both easily two of the most remarkable and memorable moments of my college career. Regardless of how tough this past semester was, I'm glad I got to see him one more time. ^^
