I started watching A Certain Scientific Railgun and Horimiya. Railgun's great so far, but I'm not impressed with Horimiya so far. I'm sticking with the GSK_ releases for it, so I've only watched one episode, but I don't like how heavy handed the romance elements are. I read the manga and it wasn't this forced. It felt like they grew together a lot more before the romance stuff started to set in.
Also Hori is a blonde.
What have you watched recently?
Watching AoD Yuru Camp, I was waiting for this second season for so long!

Watching Mushoku Tensei, VladLove and Wonder Egg Priority from this season. Not sure if I'll stick with any of them yet. Mushoku Tensei is decent for an isekai show, although the frequent sexist remarks of the MC and his father started to grate my nerves by episode 3. I've less tolerance for that shit these days and it's sadly still far to common in anime in 2020.
Just binged the first three episodes of MTBB's Mushoku Tensei release. It's absolutely phenomenal! I haven't enjoyed anything isekai since Konosuba S2 and this is right up my alley.
GSK_ finally released episode 5 of Horimiya, but then motbob started subbing the series at episode 6. As of episode 4 though, I really like that the forced romance shit got toned down. Episode 1 was a shit show in comparison. Still no blonde Hori...
Not an anime, but I love that content like this exists on YouTube. It's a pretty interesting watch with lots of love put into the production of the video. And wow, (some) anime really looked amazing in 1989!
Getting some serious boomer vibes from episode 8 of Super Cub. I don't know how a damn Honda commercial could be the comfiest thing since the first Yuru Camp season.

Asobi Asobase.
It's like the perfect storm, everything just came together to make an absolutely hilarious show that I can't get enough of.
i've watched a few things recently with my gf. all of sao (i'd never seen it before), konosuba, and a few episodes of redo of healer (that anime is more hentai than hentai that are made to be a hentai).
Ever since Kissanime went down I started torrenting again. The quality is so much better, I'm wondering why I ever stopped.
I've been watching mostly old stuff recently. Patlabor 2 which was decent, Five Star Stories which is an absolutely gorgeous looking Mecha-SciFi-Fantasy movie and Memories which is an even better looking short film collection. 'Magnetic Rose', the first movie in the collection, is one of the finest pieces of animation I've ever watched.

seel I used to pay for streaming, then went full on torrents only and fully configured mpv, now I just have a seedbox with Plex. I get the convenience of streaming anywhere and the nice video and sub quality of torrents. I dumped a bunch of Coalgirls and BakaBT-chosen releases on there, now I have too much to watch >_<

Ah, the joys of having a good upload speed. I also have a Plex server, but it's rather limited given it's running on a NAS with a Ryzen 1200 and under 2M Mb/s upload.
Somewhat back on topic, I've been enjoying having Far Lands or Bust going in the background while I work. Not anime at all, but still~
Finally watched Majestic Prince (MAL) after dropping it when it aired (first season and episode 25, still haven't watched the movie).
Overall it's pretty good, nice space mecha battles, interesting premise and characters, though it can be very cringe at times (why I dropped it in the first place). IMO it's like Grimgar, if you can get past the cringe you're left with a weird sense of enjoyment at the end even if you struggled to watch each episode, I'm pretty hyped for the movie. It can be quite deep at times, and filler time is light and refreshing. I recommend it.
Tamaki best girl.
As a side note, I read some comments above and if you have a good connection torrenting is the way. I use Sonarr with Nyaa to automatically download seasonals and I have a Jellyfin server to browse them. I access it on my TV through Kodi, pretty nice setup. Kodi also has plugins for torrents, so I can "stream" them by sending the magnet link to Kodi (kinda like PopcornTime for those who remember) though I avoid it as it's hit and run. The Kaito Kodi plugin doesn't work for me (something about Kodi 18 to Kodi 19, there was an update but it still doesn't find Nyaa sources).
For lazy times I stream on TV through FireAnime which offers access to Twist.moe and others, Twist.moe quality is usually pretty okay.
clare Enjoy the descent into isekai. If you haven't watched them yet, I recommend SAO Alternative Gun Gale Online (MAL, an SAO take from Kino no Tabi's writer which is standalone) and Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? (for this one I also recommend a double take to better understand it).
Started watching SAO. I really liked the books that took place in Aincrad, so I'm enjoying it so far. I never got very far into the LNs though. I stopped reading after the Alfheim arc. I might pick up SAO Progressive if it doesn't require too much SAO proper background knowledge.
Dontmindme I never liked Jellyfin for anime. It did a terrible job indexing my library and required way too much manual intervention compared to Plex, even with the anime plugins installed. Meanwhile Plex with Absolute Series Scanner and HAMA nails 90% of stuff. That other 10% is almost always it not being able to deal with some weird file name structure, but I can just type the name in and it will pull the metadata itself.
Erika Good to know! So far I haven't had much problems with Jellyfin but I don't use it extensively either.
One thing to note is that I have trouble finding series with Sonarr, so I do et manually and then it automatically renames them, so that might be part of why Jellyfin does goodsince I have the inverse problem before (find a show from imdb name) and do the manual step as you said. Especially for seasons, for example latest one was Overlord which has Overlord II instead of Overlord S2 or something. I'll save your post!

Dontmindme Most of my stuff is untouched in terms of the file naming, it's on a seedbox and I never got around to setting up linking in such a way that I could have clean and simple file names in the media libraries. I think that's why Jellyfin sucked for me, vanilla Plex had a rough time with it as well.
My biggest gripe is that nothing sorts anime series alphabetically, then their seasons in order. Plex at least has the "sorting name" or whatever, but I have to manually edit that. Otherwise Monogatari is all over the place and good luck with the Raildex stuff.
Just finished Odd Taxi. It's a pretty solid show. Probably one of the best ones I've watched this year. Which is strange, because there is nothing particularly stand-out-ish about it. The pacing is very good, the animation is fitting, the voice acting is amazing at times (like Yano's rap-speeches) and the story is intriguing enough to keep one entertained the whole time. All in all it's just a well thought out and well crafted show that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.
Erika Monogatari is definitely a good test, with the season names being all over the place!
