I know we're all massive loser weebs here, but, I was just curious if you guys have any interesting experience with people who take liking Anime a bit too far IRL. I'll start. I've got like 2. There's one girl in my school, who likes VERY underdeveloped (like, I feel she might have a condition or something, she's like 4' 6" and looks like a grade schooler), who runs around with those cat ear headphones, acting like a cat randomly. Random hisses, shit like that. Secondly; our school has an anime club. As you could guess, that's pretty cringeworthy. Well, they hosted some cosplay thing one day, and I ended up seeing a good few people walking around school in costume. Well, that was all fine and dandy, except one girl dressed up like Celstia from Danganropa, and continued to wear some form of victorian-era gothic lolita outfit for the rest of the year. Other than that quirk, the girl was pretty awesome, but yeah. Any experiences like mine?

Anyways, I like the idea of this thread a lot, mostly 'cuz I've come to know an absurd amount of weebs ever since I shipped up to university. (Going to a tech school will do that to you.) They're all varying degrees of tactless; mostly in an entertaining manner, though a few are truly infuriating to even spend time around.

Never thought I'd say this, but for some reason, black-populated highschools are FULL of anime fans. Basically every white kid there is a nerd.

Childhood friend of mine was seriously into anime. She knew the words to her favorite openings, and if she didn't she'd make damn sure she knew more the next time we spoke. She'd wear anime memoribilia and what not. Cat ears and pretend to be cat at times, just quicky things really. I wasn't really into anime at the time so for the most part I thought she was kinda weird, now that I am into anime more I kinda wish she was around. Would be cool to have a buddy to watch anime with. Anime club at my campus is full of weirdos. Like the game room we have to chill out in has some people in there, but they're tame and much more enjoyable to be around. The club owner had to be like 35, wore cat-ears and had a racoon tail clip behind him. Another person had a dakimakura with them. I'm into anime, but goddamn did I kinda go "oh shit" when I walked into the room. I ended up getting the fuck outta there and hanging with the narutards in the game room, some of which have become good friends of mine.

Sounds like a real keeper. And much to my own surprise, I don't mean that ironically.

We had this "Culture Week" on school. While it was fun in theory, the actual thing was a whole mess. I remember cosplaying a lot back then in high school and i eventually had an excellent excuse to bring one of my costumes to school for a week, since last years host everything, i decided to cosplay different things each day. I did Ragna the Bloodedge, Gakupo Kamui among others. Long story short, i got invited to anime club and i met a first-year girl, by far the most annoying person i've ever met. Wherever i was, she was there. I graduated, she confessed, i rejected her and when i went ronin, she still managed to catch up with my crew and shit, it didn't stop until i got my first gf which was a bitch about almost everything, including her. I don't know about her since today. Also, college has this anime roleplaying club but i don't want to either enter or get aquainted with the people in it.

The only experience I ever had with a weeaboo in real life was when I noticed one of the kids at my school had a Lucky Star sticker on his laptop, then spent the next hour following him around and loudly talking about what a permavirginal loser he was and that he deserved to die.

I don't know a single one, well, unless they're quiet about it. I know people who like anime, but none that I would consider actual weeaboos.

Not that many in my school life with a respectable balance of 2D and 3D, and all of them were my old friends. They only know a few from time to time, so it was not a big deal.

Some part of me wishes I were a highschool teacher, simply so I could run the Anime Club and observe the local wildlife. The one I was part of myself was a sordid den of backstabbing, cheating, and relationship drama that gave School Days a run for its money, and I'm embarrassed to admit I got caught up in all 'a that. I'm hopin' the kids I looked after would be a bit more benign with their tactlessness.
