I said it before on the Discord, but I'll say it again here: Giving my uni's Anime Club a second chance was the biggest mistake I've made this semester.
Literally all they did was play a shitty anime trivia game, all whilst hollering like baboons. Now don't get me wrong; I adore a crowd that doesn't give off the impression they're dead inside; but these guys were practically screaming the entire time.
Whats more, it was glaringly obvious that most of them hadn't bathed. Every time I walked up the aisle to answer one of the few questions I was knowledgeable about, I picked up approximately six distinctly displeasurable aromas, one of which damn near made me dry-heave.
All in all, the entire thing was a fucking joke. But, it did give me some valuable insight into why people dislike weebs: It's usually not the obsession with anime; hardly, in my case; rather, it's the incredible measure of tactlessness displayed by these weebs that nets them so much derision. They aren't hurting anyone of course, but they're unbelievably annoying, and IMO give "normal" weebs like us a bad name.
