Art school backed project, although they don't give us any money, they let us use the recording rooms and stuff. Since it was easier than a music magazine (I'm running the project with writers and photographers, aside other fellow musicians) we're doing this.
It involves producing artists, like you would do with AR and stuff, get a read on music producers (not the self-proclaimed EDM ones) but people like Max Martin, Phil Spector, Nile Rodgers, Brian Eno and the likes, this will give you a real idea on what a music producer does and of course, what does he need to know.
We're supporting this from our own pockets, we found a neat CD press who does nice Mediapacks at low cost, the photography is done by my labelmates theirselves and i'm in charge of all the music aspect with AR, manangment, composing, arranging, mixing, mastering, etc.
Also, be prepared to socialize a lot, to stay awake WORKING until 4AM and never catch enough sleep and being productive 24/7. (I'm doing all that, plus commissions for game studios, college and my jazz band tips fedora)
Honestly i'm just waiting on Monday so i can finally catch some sleep, i've been living on energy drinks and power naps for like two weeks)
