a R9 380X ... I thought about buying a 1070, but you know - they cost as much as a 1080 or even 1080 Ti did at MSRP where I live now.

I just looked at the price of the GPU I own out of curiosity and it's ₂₀₀% of what I payed for it half a year ago. I'd heard about the GPU market skyrocketing but I didn't think it'd gotten this bad.

Ah. I'm still content with my 290X. There hasn't really been anything new that has been anywhere near the performance/price increase I'm willing to go for.
