Ohh cool, congrats! I'm an embedded software engineer as well. ^^
Nice~ Got any tips?
Maybe! Is this your first full time job in the field since graduating?
Yup~
The first few weeks on the job are the toughest, so don't feel discouraged if you are completely clueless at times, that's totally normal! ^^
By the same token, don't be afraid to ask for help, even if it's a seemingly basic or trivial thing! They will pretty much expect those types of things to come up and hopefully they assign a specific person to help you out in the beginning.
If your company does code reviews, try to pay attention to what is happening in other people's code reviews, you can learn lots of stuff that will be applicable to you since you'll eventually have to submit something for review yourself.
Try to use existing, working pieces of code as a reference whenever possible; rarely will you ever need to start completely from scratch.
(Maybe I'll think of some others at a later time.)
