Your coworker sounds like kind of a douche. But don't let him get to you. Maybe he has some valid criticism, but like you said; you're already working on it. Don't worry about getting fired, just focus on your work and doing your best. Improve and work! That's what a good boss wants, who cares about a bunch of douche peeps like that.
From my own experience, just let filter out all the bullshit and focus on doing a good job :p If you keep working on it, you will not get fired 🙂
