Foolguy a lot of different places. other forums, 4chan ads, 8chan ads, humblebundle, our affiliates, lainchan when they were an affiliate, etc.

Foolguy I think the old admin/owner sent me here. Equinox. I dont remember where or how though. But word of mouth.

random thought: tfw no GF.

I'll keep trying though....

A co-worker of mine complemented me really well. I was honestly shocked out of my mind. I don't think my parents have come close to beating this complement. Maybe that's not good, but that's besides the point.

This is even more shocking when my work place is full of some weird people. Maybe not weird, but definitely a type of person. A good amount of the people at my work have tattoos, and I don't interact with them much since I'm a dishwasher and I don't really need to talk to people to do my job.

It's hard to say what the complement was, since it really wasn't one line, and more of the feeling and reception of the conversation. But the general idea was "You're a pretty smart and capable guy, and it's pretty nice working with you."
Perhaps this is what friendship feels like.

Yeah, It's an interesting place. It's a brewery restaraunt with a motorcycle theme and overall look pretty alright if your into that thing. It's funny though since I always stay in the back doing dishes and whatnot, I've basically forgotten what the place looks like outside of where I work. It's not a bad place though, and I've gotten to enjoy it. I feel like the peculiar staff comes from the fact that the restaraunt has such a unique theme, and that drew in the people that currently work there.

Foolguy Hehe, maybe they're just appreciative of minimal drama coming from you~

I'm not too much of a sweets guy, but mints are pretty alright. Gum as well. They aren't rich, and they give you a fresh feeling.

Foolguy I find that mint tends to give me a stomach ache after a while - not really sure why. As well as chewing gum. Which is a shame, because gum's probably somewhat better for you than sweets ^^'7

Started playing Arkham Horror: The Card Game. It's a so called Living Card Game (LCG) set in the universe of H.P. Lovecraft. Plays a bit like a mix of of Magic: The Gathering and a Cthulhu pen and paper campaign - it's totally great! Really pushes the limits of what I thought is possible with a "card game".

I've only bought the (revised) core box so far, but I've already got tons of playtime out of it. I'll most likely buy the first expansion (or cycle) next month. The only negative thing about it, is the pricetag.... Those expansions are not cheap. 😢

        I'm genuinely quite anxious about the whole situation in Ukraine. I don't feel like being drafted into a war ;_;

malmon sheesh you live around there? I'll pray for you malmon.

I've been stuck watching the news and livestreams all day last 2 days.

The stupidity of our own species throwing itself into the next great conflict before even the first half of the 2020s is over may well be conflicting all the years I spent on my own alternate reality settings, and might be as non-canonical thanks to the mishandling of diplomatic moves and blatant warmongering of a single country. And because of this, there's no way I can continue such works of mine for an uncertain future.

Poland? I never heard a single word out of that language, ever since the last time I played Worms, when I think of you, I think of the UK, but confirmed to have Polish-speaking worms, so it might be that the UK was a temporary vacation for the past few years for you. Possibly up to millions of Ukrainians would definitely seek out Poland as a refuge, others sought Hungary, Romania, Moldova, and other NATO countries. For me, I would reach 26 and would just not be called in, but even then, I'll give them hell with my extraordinary smarts.

In case you can't reach us, the united West guide you to the very end. 😁

Only in Russia can you glimpse at their distorted view of events on their TVs tricking the victim [Ukraine] to thinking they're the real menace, even destroyed a war memorial dated back to the previous world war. Dehumanizing to say the worst that any country can do such a thing. And not to forget they still have the largest nukes on board ready to go at his order. Luckily enough in small numbers by now, some diplomats and citizens think the war is unpopular, but it falls on deaf ears at the hands of the powerful few. Even if he has little or no rubles within the month or two, he wouldn't care. He's even trying to reach China for some "pick-me-up" money whatever he can get.

Outside of the conflict, I'm expecting to see a bit of periodic hiccup on the load times on their numerous modding sites, not all of them, since some of the best gaming mods presented to many great games ever made over the years comes from Russia, before Japan, S. Korea, China, Brazil, Indonesia, and others followed suit. It would've been a real shame had Russia been acting this way all along earlier, I wouldn't had started modding my games at all, and the modding audience would've been a lot smaller.

LucianDreamer Poland? I never heard a single word out of that language

Prawdopodobnie dla tego, że wszyscy na internecie mówią po angielsku 🙂

But otherwise yes, I do live in the UK. I was born in Poland, my parents and I moved here like, 23 years ago. Plenty of Ukranians are escaping the war to Poland, yeah, over 600k last I heard.

How did you learn english? Being from an english speaking country, I've always wondered how people learn the language.

I've thought about how I've changed over the years. While I'm a lot different over the last 10 years, it makes me wonder what will change about me in the future. These last 2 years, I've felt like the same person from start to finish, but is that true? My relationships and standing in life feel the same, so I guess it's just hard to see since I don't have anything big to go off of.

Foolguy It's pretty hard to avoid it, having gone to school in the UK from the age of 3 ^^'
