Runway de Waratte is sooooooooo good but they haven't translated since September!! I love it so much and I just want to keep reading it. If anyone is interested it will be getting an anime too!

Ahh, I just binged through that. Absolutely outstanding Manga. Bonus points for making me actually curious about fashion shows. Hadn't expected that.

I also picked up Nicola Traveling Around the Demon's World, an adorable little fantasy adventure. Nicola is so cute!

Was anyone around for that whole fiasco about Gal Cleaning? I have no idea what was going through the artist's mind, but I'm tempted to read it myself...

Otome Kaijuu Caramelizer is my favourite shoujo manga now.
The main character is adorable!

Everytime I read Grand Blue I just get this craving to go out and get shitfaced drunk. It's stupid but never trashy, every gag is meticously set up, this Manga is peak comedy, a 10/10 masterpiece.

Currently reading through a bunch of otome villainess redemption manga. It's such an interesting genre to me lmao

I recently read a bit of "I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags..." which was surprisingly decent (dat title though.... uu). Got any recommendations?

Sorry for late reply! Yeah, I love the manga you mentioned, it's gotta be my top so far. As for recommendations.. hmmm, a lot of them are still very early in their translation releases, so just letting you know about that. Here's my list so far:

  • Virtues of the Villainess

  • The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass

  • Death is the Only Ending for the Villainess

  • The Banished Villainess! Living the Leisurely Life of a Nun Making Revolutionary Church Food

  • I'm not a villainess!! Just because I can control darkness doesn't mean I'm a bad person!

These are pretty good! I like the top three the most. That's just my opinion though, and you'll definitely notice a pattern in these, but if you don't mind that, then I recommend trying out as much as you can 🙂

Thanks, will check them out! 🙂

One of my favourite fantasy mangas right now is Delicious in Dungeon. It's basically a manga about dungeon crawling, with the main characters cooking some kind of dish from the monstes they slay in the dungeon each chapter. At the beginning one might think that this series has nothing more to offer than this cooking "gimmick", but it's actually alot deeper than that. The worldbuilding (arguably the most important thing about a fantasy series) is pretty solid with lots of details about the dungeon "ecosystem" and how society might adapt to the presence of a dungoen. As the series progresses the story get's pretty intruiging with the main characters delving deeper into the dungeon and slowly uncovering it's secrets.

Been reading Asper Kanojo about a doujin mangaka and a girl with Aspergers. It's really well made, a lot of research was done about the human psyche, there's a lot shown about the mental problems people have to live with, a lot of characters with their own things they deal with daily.
But then sadly I've caught up with the translation and realised only half was translated. That's the only gripe I have with manga and not knowing Japanese, I have to wait for complete translations and if I don't I'll just forget everything that happened in the manga a year or more later.

    kona

It ends up that she has faced many hardships herself, and with no intention of leaving, she ends up living with him.

Heh, I'm sure there was a bit more meat to the story in between her appearing and deciding to stay, but the synopsis sure does make it sound rather spontaneous ^^'

    • kona replied to this.

malmon I don't wanna spoil anything, but there are happy and tearful moments, haven't read stuff like that in quite a while

Not exactly Manga related, but in the past two years I've made extensive use of my city's public library of ebooks, mainly to read the newest fantasy and sci-fi titles. However, recently I realized that it has a very big collection of (digital) comic books as well!

While there are some Mangas too, it's mainly western comics. It took some time getting used to the colouring, the larger page-sizes and the generally slightly different pacing and flow, when compared to Manga, but by now I'm throughly enjoying the experience. There is a whole world of comic books to discover! And while I'm not to much interested in classic super hero comics, I'll gladly wolf down an epic fantasy like Monstress (which you should totally check out) any day.

Way TOO many... Tachiyomi says 976 when updating.

And that's with moving titles either to finished collection or "on hold"...

Haha, this reminds me of Sam and Max. Minus the serious part. Sam and Max is anything but serious.
