I have tried a couple psychedelics over the years, which were fun experiences for exploring myself.
Besides that, I have smoked cannabis near daily for the better part of 3 years now. It helps me manage my stress issues and anxiety at the end of each night.
I don't really drink alcohol, though.
You sure it's safe to use marijuana everyday? I know it's bad if your brain's still developing, but I'm not sure about adults.
Am I sure that cannabis is safe for daily use? No, I'm not sure!
I am almost at the age where the brain stops developing, and have smoked through most of my teenage years periodically (development period). I do wish that I waited until later, but now that I'm a young adult, it doesn't bother me as much. The only argument that I hear against it, really, is that it can trigger earlyset psychosis and schizophrenia, which is true (it's even marked on packaging in legalized areas); the other argument that I hear is that it makes you "dumber". The first argument is unavoidable, fortunately I don't think I have psychosis or schizophrenia; the second argument is maybe a bit true, I'm not as sharp or concentrated as I used to be.
With all of that said, I have still done a bit of a University education, I work in information security, and I write. So, even though I do think I'm less "sharp and concentrated", I think I'm still smart enough to not fuck up my life. Hehe. I'm willing to make this trade-off to use cannabis to relax and manage my stress - I have a lot of it.
Do you have any other questions about daily cannabis use or adolescent use? Happy to answer based on my experiences.
Admittedly, the only experience I have with anyone who smoked regularly in their adolescence was a complete dumbass. Probably not caused by marijuana, but still 😛
Do you mix with tobacco? Apparently that's a thing some do.
Well, I'm confident that I'm not a complete dumbass, maybe partial at worst.
I don't smoke cannabis with tobacco, and I haven't ever really smoked tobacco at all. In fact, the only time I ever tried a cigarette was when I was drunk at a tech conference, I was really wanting to smoke a joint, and I made someone tell me that their lightweight cigarette was a joint so I'd be willing to smoke it. To this day, I haven't smoked tobacco besides that one occasion. I think that tobacco and nicotine is disgusting.
At this point, the only danger to cannabis that I really consider is the inhaling of the smoke. Even then, I keep all of my bongs very clean on a daily basis, and I now purchase government-regulated cannabis.
EDIT: I thought that I'd mention that every step of the way of the past 7 years, I've been surrounded by people who smoke cannabis semi-regularly. In high school, the majority of my friends smoked periodically; in University, the majority of my friends smoked; at my last job, my IT Operations team smoked together on lunch; since legalization, most of my family smokes, including my partner and her parents, too. Where I'm from, cannabis is pretty commonly consumed.
