What are you guy's favorite programming languages? I'm currently deeply in love with Haskell, it's very clean and it makes you think about programming really differently. I also enjoy programming in C.

Ruby, I know blah blah blah everyone hates me for it I KNOW. I just love ruby sooo much.

AutoIT -> The only one I understand till now lol

Python, it's fairly intuitive and it's quite easy to get things done.

C# for all of .NET needs and Ruby because it's a pleasure to program in.

I second Haskell. Python is easy and intuitive, C can be fun when it's not being impossible, and well-written LISP can be elegant, but Haskell feels like a wonderful combination of math and art. Everything just makes sense on a conceptual level. [size=xx-small]And also Assembly because using it involves actually understanding the machine you're using.[/size]

I use Ruby for scripts and small microservices. I really love the metaprogramming stuff. If Ruby is not an option, I try to use the best tool for the job. I hate Python, C++, JS because I don't like how they are designed. Also I'm flirting with Rust.

I used to like Python, but the lack of functional patterns and the version conflicts made me change to Ruby once I learned Lisp.
About C++, well, I don't like things like multi-inheritance and some other features.

You are right thought, I don't have to use it, but I feel more comfortable if that feature is completely ditched.

I like C if the point is performance, memory management and the architecture is not OO.

Its more than that, its also ruby cleaned up, and the community seems to know what immutability is.

Ruby can freeze objects, but the internals are all about mutations. That's what allows metaprogramming and OOP in Ruby itself.

C# and Python. Started with C# and recently moved on to Python. I like the latter a bit more. Planning on learning C++ soon.

But tbh, C# does look pretty slick. I'm just not really a fan of it's AFAIK somewhat iffy cross-platform support.

The cross-platform support isn't the best, but they are working on it, since Microsoft realized that Free Software is what the cool kids do now.
