I'm not 100% sure if I can put this here, but I was wondering if there is anyone else using the new Browser Vivaldi?

It's currently in beta and I've been using it for a couple of weeks now. I haven't had any real issues using it so far. I do really like how the browser is compatible with Google Chromes extensions.

I don't like the look, but otherwise I think it's fine. I'll recommend it to a few friends to find out what they think.

I love the features that it has, paticuarly the command pallete. I don't think that it's ready to replace Firefox Developer Edition but I will probably give it a whirl again when it's out of beta.

I'm loving it, I have replaced it as my standard browser.

I have reverted to my old browser now due to bugs when I have two windows of it open, which due to my set-up including 2 screens isn't very convenient.

This is actually pretty coolio.. I'm using it. Thinking about switching to be honest!

Looks like another proprietary Chromium fork like Opera and it even has the speed dial, not really something I'd concider using.

what rating do you give it? Does it have apps such as adblock, etc?

I only use firefox but it does seem interesting this new browser

considering it's compatible with most chromium extensions most if not all adblockers should work

I wouldn't trust it because it is closed sourced and also seems hevily derived from chrome which is nutorious for violating numerious privacy issues.

Privacy is important, but what's more important is the fact that the UI design of this is so jagged and blocky it feels like it's cutting my eyes

Yeah. Opera used to be something.
Now, I don't really see anything I miss on IceCat.

I tried it out a few times for a spin, the existing customizable features are pretty nice but if really wants to be a Opera 2.0 electric boogaloo, it need all that internet suite stuff Opera had, like a email client, irc and a torrent client.

Those things were great in Opera, but kinda bloated in the memory usage, if they found out a way to have all of that in a resource efficient matter, i would switch to Vivaldi in an heartbeat!

Now, that you mentioned it, I wonder what way would I prefer.
Having one browser for everything, or multiple applications, each for specialized protocols.

And I would probably prefer multiple applications.
If browser implements everything there's a good chance I simply won't like let's say it's torrent client.
Or even if if's fine, other option can simply be better and give me more control.

It looks well meh, I currently use Palemoon which lately has had some issues. I'll probably give it a try hope I can change the way the UI looks though.

Seems great.... I doubt that it will be more greater than Chrome.
