Perhaps not, but take into account the Chrome is made and owned by Google, a multimillion dollar company, that is one of the, if not the, biggest name in the Internet, that ships Google Chrome with Chrome OS, and all Android phones. Even some Linux distributions that are completely separate use it as a main browser.
Personally, if the developer tools are anywhere close to as high tier as Google Chromes, even going as far as allowing the viewing of Websocket frames (unlike some other browsers that shant be named coughFirefoxcough) without the use of a plugin, I will definitely be swapping Google Chrome. I absolutely hate GC.
