Just waiting for time to pass by, kinda bored. There's stuff I want to do but I'm feeling too lazy these days. At least I had the opportunity to go for a sporty hike with friends this weekend, it was a lovely experience! Can't wait for the next one

I love a sporty hike. Would be nice to go on one. Today was extremely exhausting, so many many problems at work and getting yelled at a lot has really taken a mental toll today

It is indeed the pace, the terrain also plays a part. It was on an island so we had time constraints for when we arrive and when we must leave due to the boats schedules, we also decided to do it in 2 days while it's recommended for 3 or 4 which means we had to carry a bit more (average pack size in the group was 15kg). Only competition was with our past selves, we tried it last year and we were unprepared so we failed. Not this time!

Hope you can go on one soon, it helps a lot to take your mind off work. Stay strong

Dontmindme Oh wow that sounds impressive! Spreading any sort of outdoor activity like that in the UK is always a risk, especially with how random the rain has been this year. How long's the hike?

malmon it was about 80km. D+ about 2km.
I had the rain jacket too, it can rain suddenly as well here and especially approaching summer there can be mean storms. We checked the weather beforehand.

Finally got a new boiler installed in my flat... a year and a half after we ripped the old one out ^^'

I was at a shooting range last weekend with my dad and my friend and a couple of other people. It was a lot of (expensive) fun.

There was a couple, i don't remember all their names. Some AK, M16, some AR15, some pump shotgun, a (single fire) SMG, I think it was (the new one, not the old one) CZ scorpion, a couple pistols, Glock, Sig Sauer, Walther and XDM.
My friend's dad also brought his over&under shotgun and FB Grot. That's about it I think. Oh, all the pistols were in 9mm.

              (Grot and over&under not pictured)

WorstFriend Nice! Looks like an AKM, I think. I didn't realise they made single fire SMGs ^^'7 Seems like it would kinda defeat the purpose of the machine part.

Sounds like you had a blast ^^ The only real gun I've ever fired is some double-barreled shotgun - it's pretty much impossible to get anything else in the UK

They do for civilian market. It's not entirely pointless, you still have a long gun with a stock, it's way easier to shoot it accurately than a pistol. It also doesn't want to break your wrist nor your shoulder whenever you fire. Plus you can stuff a bigger magazine in an SMG than a pistol. Having automatic fire is not the only perk of SMGs.
Also because of all that they're quite good for first time shooting. Long guns are safer to handle (it's harder to point it at someone accidentally, you don't have the slide going backwards and threatening to break your thumb if you place it in its way) and the recoil is very tame. Though I shot an AR15 in .22lr once. Now that thing felt like an actual BB gun.
