Been stressed out lately, lots of pressure at work and there's this person that patronises me and it pisses me off... On the other hand I really look forward to weekends so I can meet my friends and forget about it.

You just gotta be petty back, and live off the small endorphine rush whenever you minorly inconvenience them ^_^

Sounds like a good idea! I'll also try to go to sports club again now that Covid measures lighten up and let off some steam.

What kinda sports are you into? Or do you just lift? 😛

Boxing and hitting the gun range, used to lift in uni. Still do it occasionally.
What about you Malmon?

Ah, cool! Scary ^_^'

I haven't really done anything in a while tbh. I used to play airsoft at uni, and skiied with my dad and his gf. Haven't done the latter since my dad messed up his knee... skiing ^7

The only exercise I really get nowadays is an occasional walk.

Airsoft sounds like fun. Expensive hobby to get into ahah, I used to do paintball occasionally instead.

Sorry for your dad. Never skiied either, I should try it sometime.

and christ i need a new pfp asap! man im hideous

2 months later

People in the project team at work are treating me horrible, wish I could just up and quit. Time to update LinkedIn.

malmon Expecting too much, and unrealistic goals. Then when I tell them I can't meet the goal or they see we're behind schedule I get an earful. Last time during a meeting they ganged up on me telling me I didn't do shit during 4 months. It was hard to answer to that, but it pained me and thinking back on it I've accomplished a lot (amongst which a planning, which if they provided it 4 months ago my work would have been easier and faster).
Now I have to write weekly reports of everything I do.

malmon Hope so! I'm also wondering about a career change, manual labour (trade?) might be more fulfilling. Might not be. I'll check.

I'm in that weird spot where I feel a strong urge to do things, but not strong enough to actually do anything. So I just keep thinking that until I go to bed frustrated I didn't do things I wanted during the day. Repeat.

ChiitoChan Happens to me as well. I found that making a list of small stuff to do during the day helps, you still didn't accomplish anything grand but you'll be happy to have done some of the stuff that needed to be done during your day. Faito!

malmon Not sure really, probably half desk half manual labour would be nice. But with a desk job, though it pays well and you have comfort you don't really have anything to show at the end of the week. Manual labour you create/build stuff so you have a certain sense of accomplishment though it's tougher (especially due to weather).
Really hope I become annuitant somehow lol
          What's your mood @malmon?

ChiitoChan Relateable. At some point my frustration with myself boils over and I'm in hardcore work mode for a week or so until I eventually burn out and the cycle starts anew.

I suppose it's alright if the work isn't too repetetive. Last time I did manual labour, I felt like offing myself ^_^'

As for my mood... currently I'm rather tired - It's been a pretty busy weekend. Somewhat excited though, because I might be going go-karting soon~

              5 days later

malmon One thing I'd like to try is knife forging. Apparently it pays like shit though, so I might not make it my job...
I also have plans to go go-Karting at some point. Rest well and enjoy the race! It should be very fun.

Knife forging sounds really cool though! Could make yourself a set of sick kitchen knives~
