Any way to watch anime in 60 fps other than using SVP?
Use a TV that does frame interpolation. Or commission your favourite studio to produce their anime in 60fps, as opposed to 15 or whatever they normally use.
Hmmm, maybe I'll just shell out the money for SVP then. Some of the anime I watch I'd probably want to keep on the down low 😛
I'd love for studios to start producing 60fps anime, though I've not heard of any that have attempted this before.
There is a free version, though you're stuck with only DirectShow-based players if you're using Windows. And wow, I didn't realise it got so expensive! (my name's in the credits 😃).
Of course, if you use Linux, then it's all free.
I find it strange that despite some studios turning to 3D animation to produce their anime, they still render it at a super low frame rate, and it always just looks awful. Normally in anime, they put frames in where they're necessary, such as for large or sudden movements, and camera pans. But in 3D animated anime, they don't bother with that, and it looks like you're playing a video game on an underpowered PC.
