So do you guys hide your power level in publi?, or are you open about your love for anime, manga and other weeaboo shit? I never really saw the point in being a closet anime fan, seems kind of lame and insecure to me. But of course, if you're too open about it and force it on others you'll just look like a massive faggot. I'm pretty open about it myself, I don't try to hide anything but I try not to talk about it with normies or people who have only seen anime aired on western T.V.

Let's just say I'm open about it but I don't run around like a mongoloid screaming "o0Oo0o00O0oooO0O0OHHH FUCK YEAH DUDE ANIME IS THE FUCKIN BEST HAHAH IM SUCH A WEEB XDDDDD HAHAHAH", but like 70 percent of the people here that do watch it are like that.

I don't have any qualms about talking about it, but I wouldn't really bring it up in casual conversation unless someone else already did. Have a some friends who do and don't.

So long as they don't come to my apartment, I keep my power levels on the down low. Other than that I only bring anime (outside of friends) if the person I'm talking to it up, or if I'm certain that they do in which case I'll throw out some highly praised manga like Monster.

My phone has rotating anime wallpapers. I talk to people in public about anime. Honestly I don't see a point in hiding your interest in anime, or anything really. Would be the same as saying those who talk about Game of Thrones in public, and have merch should be embarassed because they're interested in it. Just an interest, and we all have different interests.

It's not that I "hide" it I would just rather do what I like than have to do all anime stuff or no anime stuff. I like a little bit of everything, what can I say?

I do not hide my power level but you wont see me wearing a fox tail or cat ears like some of the people I know do. I have a couple shirts that are references to anime but they are pretty subtle. I don't actively hide any of my interests but I respect that there are a lot of people that don't care for my interests. I love Anime and I'm perfectly fine with talking about it in public, but I can't stand the typical "LOL guiz i'm such le weeb" who has an Attack on Titan shirt.

Sometimes. Although it can be helped since my last two expositions about producers were about Yasutaka Nakata (capsule, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu) and REDALiCE. Surprisingly enough, there's a shitload of weaboos in my college so it was okay, they always bring it up on the convos so it's okay.

Homewever, a couple of years back i was the weeb dude who wore Naruto bandanas and anime t-shirts. I had a crossbag with a crapload of huge ass pins on it and the likes.

From what I've seen, at long as they're not some trust-fund prep kid, pretty much everyone's seen at least one offbeat anime these days. Even my old highschool buddy, who makes his living washing dishes and busking with a violin, said he absolutely adored Welcome to the NHK.

But anyways. As for myself I go to a tech school, so it's pretty much a given that everyone's at least a partial weeb. Ironically, the only people I hide my power level from are the people who actively expose theirs: The Anime Club here is super-ultra-lame, chock full of super-ultra-lamewads that won't shut up about Naruto ships and behold JJBA as if it were the crown jewel of Japanese animation. Not exactly the most pleasant types.

I usually talk about anime and what not but my power level isn't that high so it isn't that big of an issue. With people I just met though I won't bring it up until it's our second or third time talking.

No one knows I'm a weeb other than my 3 close friends. My family knows I like anime, but just not to the extent. It's easy because my little cousins are massive weebs, so it's easy to hide in comparison.

I don't see much of a reason to disguise my power level in public. Well, I don't get out that much lately anyways because I haven't had a job in months, but even then I don't care if people know that I watch anime and read comic books. I don't care if they think of me as some creepy weirdo because they probably already think that of me. I never bring the topic up, but if someone asks me what my hobbies are one of them, the main one, will be watching anime and cartoons, and if they ask me about it, I'll talk about it in an honest and mature way.

No i don't hide my power level,. If a conversation brings up an opportunity to talk about anime, I'll do it and say everything I have to say that is appropriate for the conversation about anime, how I watch it, and talk about it. No, I don't parade around screaming "I love anime, western shows are trash" because i'm not a retard. I stay away from weeaboos because they cannot restrain themselves and I can't bear talking to them while knowing they act this way even though I usually have seen way more anime than them.

If you need to "hide your power level" in public, you are obviously doing something wrong with your life, as you're basically afraid of yourself, you stupid fucking weaboo.

I like to keep everything discrete (not just anime), I have anime gear that I wear. I just prefer to be unreadable so people can't assume what I'm into unless they try to get to know me, only leaving hints for people that are familiar with the stuff I'm into (like recognizing small symbols and shit from either anime, games or bands that I discretely wear). If we're having a discussion I would never hide my so called "power level" because I'm not insecure about shit like that. If someone doesn't want to get to know me based on something I enjoy then fuck 'em, I've got wonderful friends already.

I don't actively hide it, I just don't talk about it since most people in my major are more into games than actual anime. However whenever I meet someone that does watch, I do enjoy talking to them about it. Though I've had a couple situations where they've asked me what animes I enjoyed recently and I accidently let Bible Black out instead of Black Lagoon, and I did not realize until I was heading home.
