We're setting up some sorta work party. I gotta go help with something in the kitchen for some reason. Can't remember what it was, but once we were done, my colleague offered me a tab of LSD. He mentioned something about suddenly experiencing a sixth sense.
I took it, and immediately I collapsed over the kitchen sink. My vision turned to black and white spirals, then quickly to static, all while all I could hear was an excruciating loud squealing or ringing sound, like an amplified flash bang.
Enough of this. I wake up. I can see again. But the noise hasn't gone away. I can't move. Ah fuck, not again. "Wait, some people say they can see figures in the room while paralysed, right?" Thanks, brain. There's now a barely-visible silhouette of something at the foot of my bed. It gets closer as I blink and breathe furiously, and try to wiggle my body awake.
