24/12/2014 - Installed newpoints, fixed non-SSL avatars

Clare

Newpoints has been installed, our currency is named Seks and Seks can be obtained by posting around the community.

I have a few ideas as to how Seks can be used, but I'd like to hear the opinions of you guys first. 🙂

Avatars that are linked to an offsite URL that doesn't support SSL, are now proxied through embed.ly (until I finish my own proxy thingo).

You should make this list possible:

Pay for sticky with seks
BETTING!!!!
Buy username/usertitle

I'm not quite sure I like the idea of paying for stickies, seeing as I want to keep the community advertisement free (including the generic marketplace that everyone seems to add to their forums).

The other two things are definitely possible though.

Make rules for using it! I'd love the idea of members being able to sticky forum games or things like that!

It might be something I'll consider later on, but at the moment it'd seem like a useless feature (seeing as we're not super active). 😉

I, for one, welcome our new Seks-y currency.

You currently have the most Seks 😉

On a somewhat on-topic note, maybe Seks could be used to buy certain features that make everyone jelly, like an animated usertitle gif image, cough.

Or, if awards start to get implemented in the future, they could go towards purchases for that.

Equinox

Ficks the ugli seks.

I don't listen to demands, only requests.

I politely request that this demand be listened to.
