Dead Tube

So I'm a huge fan of yandere girls, and this manga has a bunch of 'em.  It's also got fairly deep plot lines. Anyone else read Dead Tube, or anything similar you'd reccommend?

mis

I remember reading this way back when - it had a perfect yandere qt, but the death and snuff combined with the ecchi and near-hentai levels really messed with me until I just had to drop it.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good manga, but I'll just keep my half-naked 2Dqts and my violent genre seperate from each other.

suicid3Panda

Yeah, I understand. It really pulls you in different directions emotionally. I just happened to get super obsessed with the main protag girlie. I'd forgive her murderous side <3.

mis

In any case, it's not as ecchi-heavy, but if you're looking for a pretty bloody series, Bloody Monday has a good amount of violence and some lewd here and there.

Also, it features a pretty yandere-esque grill about halfway into the series if you can manage that far.

Does this contain any guro? I love me some guro.

Also the lips look kinda weird. But I guess this is just an art style that I'm not used to. And the mention of deep plots fascinate me since it's not a very common thing in ecchi lookin shits. I'll check it out later, thanks.

I think the lips on the cover should be different than the actual pages inside. I don't think the series has any explicit guro, but it does feature murder and snuff alongside sex and nudity, Â though they're mutually exclusive as far as I know. Â

I could be wrong though, so Panda should chime in. Also, welcome back!

Arigatou mis bby <3 Sex, nudity, and murder? Sounds like my kind of topping. Now I'm hella pumped to read this shit.

As far as "guro."  They do typically separate the gore and the sexiness.  There's only one time I can think of which was at all contrary to that. But the plot..... omigoshitsogood

They are behind for 2 reason.  1. Dead Tube seems to only release bi-monthly sometimes. 2. They are also doing Real Account (and a few others). Real Account releases weekly.  The manga group has ridiculously high standards when it comes to certain aspects like redraws. Real account and Dead Tube both have nightmarish amounts of seemingly random Japanese text on each page.  The make us (I work for them) redraw the entire, damned picture just so they can slap English text over top of it.  Pretty much that entire bottom picture needs to be redrawn.  Also these manga use a shitload of screentones... they are the bane of my existence.Â

I'm guessing from this you're from some kind of translation group?

Yeah, but only when I can, and I do redraws, not the actual translation part.

Pretty cool that you explained it all. How's it like being in a group?

I have so much respect for redrawers in general, given that you have to basically have to add in what was missing from the removed text, and have it overlay again with more text.

Neat! What other stuff have you worked on?

I mostly work on Real Account 2, Chrono Monochrome, and Tomodachi Game.

@[deleted] It's sometimes a haphazard mess lol! Â We have a ton of people who do redraws, and they only do it when they have time. Â Sometimes a person will be working on a redraw for very long and will hold up the release of an entire chapter. Other times, it's not very clear exactly what they want you to redraw. Â I have had many pages (and all my work) scrapped because I missed something or they didn't like the way it came out.Â
Â
@[deleted] Thanks! I really appreciate it 🙂

So I was just informed that our translator has been in the hospital for the past few months, and it's the reason the latest issues haven't been sent to us redrawers.... Â No one has heard from him either...

If you guys liked Dead Tube, I think you'll like Ana Satsujin; guy dates serial killer girl, with lots of twisted romance, dark comedy and lots of death.
Also there's a futa in it.
