It has been exactly 75 years on the very day and time that the Americans have invented and officially made Japan kneel and bend towards the will of the Western powers and the world beyond, but to the cities affected by the two atomic bombs, there's still pockets of leftover radiation that can still harm the very people who used to live there for quite a long time. Hiroshima, used to be the home of the famous Mori clan and nearby Kobe, the famous port of the Kancolle animated series, is still lightly irradiated, and Nagasaki, one of the major Portuguese arrival ports in the distant past, used to be the only welcomed city during the Tokugawa era to Westerners and another major shipbuilding port at that time was also still lightly irradiated albeit taking a little bit longer in half-life years from the more powerful of the two.
However, because now almost every single atomic bomb survivor in that country in both cities is unable to live this long to tell about it and Japan itself is still clinging with its ignorance of such a historic event even though its Emperor did admitted to surrender on this exact day, and we're now in a pandemic, issues arose as to what might happen if the world decided to repeat another Armageddon so we teach ourselves how nukes were dropped on Earth as proof of our ignorance. Right now, according to the most recent Doomsday Clock meeting, we're down to barely a full minute measured in seconds before we should hunker down and pray we don't become like the victims of those cities.
Not to worry that Japan is still an important ally to the U.S. alongside South Korea and Taiwan, which were part of Japan long ago, although a few years since the Fukushima disaster, we probably are a bit aware that nation might have by now access to the same nuclear facilities albeit a much smaller scale compared to the U.S. and isn't going to use it due to a nuclear treaty unless some radical change in the law would occur. But, recently our current U.S. President is wishing to repeat the Cold War testings on the very same desert that was already been irradiated for many years now it is becoming more populated with residents than it was, posing an exacerbated health risk in that general region if he somehow gets a second term in office. He wants to show the world how much we ignored the nuclear treaties that we already signed.
Already North Korea is still the only viable nuclear threat posing to Japan with its neighboring sea already irradiated from its strikes short of reaching its soil and still is to this day, Russia becoming so paranoid now with Putin having absolute power with a life term that any missile pointing close to or directly at it is perceived as a nuclear warhead and isn't afraid to use them depending on the severity. The other two major flashpoints, such as Kashmir and Taiwan, are also viable trigger points where I wouldn't guess these areas that had been escalated for years is getting close enough to become full-fledged conflicts that not even the UN would try to resolve it. Iran with its increased knowledge of American politics over the many years and access to some high-tech cyber networks, whereas Russia and China together are employing what the U.S. thinks as militarized satellites since there were historical moments of cosmonauts having to protect themselves in case with firearms and even one satellite having an MG turret.
And not to mention the increased demand of hypersonic weapons, nukes with theoretical planet-wide range, and EMP, those are the kind of things that can knock out anything in its path before anyone would dare try to fight back, those are the things that can make the whole world cringe, but many times worse. Never try to forget the very moment that America did indeed made Japan kneeled to a knee and surrendered, on the 14th August, 1945.
