The virus finally know my general whereabouts as if trying harder to get me, just east of the city limits, only one from using the interactive map. Yes, there is an interactive COVID-19 map from the NY Times site, I looked at that tiny red dot very carefully and then use Google Maps to find it has reached nearby Flintstone. Now it would be a good time for me to inform my family that it is in my county, it has arrived.
COVID-19
Just walked by two asian looking fellows, didn't look like locals. And they wore medical masks. Unlike any other person I know.
Maybe I should be worried
You know, as much as I dislike my mom, I do appreciate her sometimes. One of her family-friends was kind enough to drop off a whole bunch of Cheerios, which are one of the few things I can eat.
mnl wroteWell, I've been stuck at home for the past three weeks or so because of COVID-19. My advice is to just keep yourself busy. My days are basically spent playing computer games, doing some remote work and lots of cooking ^_^
This weekend I baked a french applepie with turned out great. Also trying to cook lots of Japanese food. Yesterday I had some Zaru Soba, i.e. cold Soba noodles with a selfmade dipping sauce and some seasonings such as wasabi and sliced spring onion. Very yum and quick to make!
Ohmygosh, all of that sounds absolutely delicious! I tell ya, if you ran some sorta unlimited-order sushi place (we have those near me), I'd probably stuff myself on that. No regrets. xD
I'd also love to know what games you're playing, love. My memory's really hazy, but I'm currently playing a game of RimWorld featuring you and a few others from the forum.

-snip-
Lots of Team Fortress 2, some Starcraft 2 and also some EVE Online.
Well, it hasn't bit quite good, I miss going to the gym and going outside without worrying about getting catch by the police, I've been spending a lot of time on my laptop since the disk of my main PC died, I downloaded some books so I can read them but I'm so lazy, instead I play league (i wish i could install other games but im stuck with 250gb at the moment) with some friends that I haven't seen in years, like 5 to 6 years.
Well, everything is going well for me, there's food and there's my family there that is ok, I'm s using some of this quarantine time to change some of my bad habits, like starting to read without falling asleep and also control my diet, sleep and all that, and also learn new skills like cooking xD.
I'm trying to learn new things, like I recently found this web called codeforces, pretty cool.
As you might imagine, life has been completely reshaped by the disease here in my hometown. One week ago, I saw children playing with each other outside, and every night we'd see unfamiliar men marching shoulder to shoulder down the sttreet, whooping and hollerin' in drunken tongue. Now the streets are largely empty, save the intrepid jogger or bicyclist you'll run into during the day. Since I live near a major road, I can also count how many people were rushed to the hospital via the sirens throughout the day. I think I heard, maybe four today.

As for myself, life continues as it always has. I'm still working from home, now extra-hard, since the economy guarantees I won't be hired if I lose this job. I swear to god, sometimes I wonder if we're due for another cataclysmic conflict like the second world war. I might've befriended the very children who'll grow up to plant the red flag on Capitol Hill. Here's hoping, at least...
On the bright side though, it looks like I'll have actual food for at least the next few weeks. I hit pay-dirt yesterday when I found an unopened box - actually, a box of five boxes - of unsalted matzos stowed downstairs. I bought them last year as a substitute for bread, and they're perfect for spreading sunflower seed butter over. I also installed some ARGB fans, and, ooh! My Sakura Kinomoto Nendoroid finally arrived! I'll post pics later on. ^~^
By and large, my family does everything it can to avoid grocery stores these days. They'll hazard a walk in the generally-abandoned parks, but nowhere seems to be safe except the confines of one's own home. I realize this account is bleak - due northeast, New York is essentially a living nightmare - but even my town has more cases than some large cities throughout the country. I just can't foresee a resolution to this crisis without many, many people getting unnecessarily hurt. Or worse.

I know, right? I feel like a caveman around Backlash~ ^_^
So... Aside from the death and calamity and economic ruin, does anybody find themselves enjoying quarantine?
Ten days from now will mark two months since the state offices ordered us to work from home. I've realized since then that I'm a rather strange person, who enjoys swathes of time spent alone tinkering with computers, but I've ironically ended up being a lot more social with my closest friends. Granted, these are folks I've met on here (haven't had an "irl" friend since 2017 lmao), but I consider y'all one and the same. ^_^

That was just a really good day, heheh. Thankya though, it means a lot... ^//^
i'm not for i'm not longer quarantined
I wouldnt say all that much has changed since im not usually one who goes outside anyway. The only thing that sucks is how my university (and every other one i suppose) shut down and even now the next semester classes are all online which is not amazing. On the bright side I learned to 'cook' since i never really knew how to make anything b4. I say 'cook' cuz I just put rice into a rice cooker but its still a pretty good start
also what a weird site this is
This virus has mutated somehow it can cause newer minor strains, a very rare, fatal inflammation is now targeting young kids that were mostly spared from the main symptoms, called PMIS. As we're moving towards summer which is just a couple weeks out, unless you're in Japan, the world is now trying to see if this pandemic does slow down with higher temperatures. Even so, it now only takes just a little normal self-talk even without anybody around can still spread a lot of droplets that can stick around for an initial period of 15 minutes, then drying up for a little more time and then only the tiniest bits of your accidental spit can remain.
I cover as much of the list of symptoms taken from the official snippets, already known coughing, sneezing, pneumonia, and so forth.
Fever
Chills (It means to shiver, if your body is trying to warm up)
Repeated shaking with chills (If your body can't stop shaking from the above condition after a few minutes)
Muscle pain (Any form of pain on your muscles that continues for several minutes)
Headache (This includes migraines, only much worse than a normal one and longer in duration)
Sore throat
New loss of taste or smell (If you suddenly don't feel satisfied with eating or unable to sense something, that may be a sign of diminished senses)
As well as critical-level symptoms that always require a visit to the ER:
Trouble breathing
Persistent pain or pressure in the chest (If you can't remove that feeling anywhere on your chest fast enough)
New confusion or inability to arouse (If you lost your sex drive all of a sudden or you're constantly feeling confused)
Bluish lips or face (Watch your lips and face closely, if you look at the mirror and see it turning blue or your face is feeling a shade of blue)
Incubation Period: On average it can take anywhere from 2-7 days, the longest can be 2 weeks, the shortest can be within a day depending on how old you are, what conditions you already have, and fitness levels.
Recovery Period: For mild cases, it should take 2 weeks, but more severe cases take up to 3-6 weeks, some symptoms might persist.
There is currently no antiviral treatment available, only self-care as well as supportive care.
Apparently hours ago, there was a massive security breach on some time-honored people, including former president Obama, the founders of Microsoft, Apple, and Uber, among a few others, and not even two-layer/strong password protections would even protect them. According to the short-lived tweets, it said that they wanted to give back to their communities over this pandemic by doubling their payments by the minute in the form of Bitcoin. Needless to say, it was typed by a scammer with a copy-pasted address. As it is related to this, the big companies, including Twitter itself and the very few important people involved were taking unnecessary financial losses.
While Twitter was investigating such an incident, they have to disable all verified accounts temporarily, the ones marked with a check, so if you happen to try and contact them if you have a Twitter, obviously they can't do so until it gets resolved, saying that because of a serious bitcoin hack scam, they can't reply to anyone treating as if they're locked out from tweeting for their safety.
Kind of said to say, but I haven't really noticed quarantine. I'm a shut-in more or less so I haven't left the house, and when I do it's just for a small walk. No need for any precautions.
Hope you are all doing well and staying safe.
Covid is like a socialist government. No fun
Angel wroteCovid is like a socialist government. No fun
Covid indiscriminately targets all forms of government and no country is immune to it, not even Greenland, Iceland, Paulu, or New Zealand. Just recently, North Korea became the last country on the planet to be infected on the same day they celebrated the armistice with fireworks. Brazil didn't even come close to becoming more infected than here in the U.S. Now China is getting back into being infected once more, a huge failure in their supposed flatlining of new cases.
We're making some progress on the vaccine development, it just entered the second of three long phases.

what
Malmon said conservative gov so assuming lives in Atlanta or something
USA gov is by state. Cali is best state but will make you poor...if like in the north. Like 2k-4k a month for apartments of like 1-2 rooms. Progression is bad hence said libtard as rents go up by shops based on it. Rambling here but just to explain the libtard part in case that was the "what" was about.
Idr if malmon told me where he is at so assumed south east usa
Update on covid. Dont come to cali. Cases go up like if they are going out of style. LAX is rumored to shut down
rip more of my mail orders and hello more delays
