I found another close call article, in Aichi from a few weeks back on an art exhibit museum that isn't an anime-related studio and it doesn't have anime in it. Good thing to know the security cameras inside that building immediately caught him the very moment Shuji sent a fax over a single "comfort woman statue" that needs removed, along with phone calls and online death threats. Even worse, even it draws some political ire, especially women that such a closure too soon after their meeting is one of the many examples of censorship over freedom of expression along with denial over its decision.
The "comfort woman" if most of us don't even know about is that it is a forced sitting pose done by Japanese women during WWII, and nowadays it was seen as unacceptable by modern standards, which somehow surfaced in very recent memory. This one is from ARTFORUM.
Since Japan's laws about guns is super strict unlike America, that's why most crimes though nearly non-existent as you would think usually resorts to stabbing, pushing, blunt, chemical abuse, or fire, and such incidents don't grab that much media attention because it doesn't outright kill. Few people in that country do have guns but not as impulsive and far rarer to encounter while touring.

So now, it is not just anime or game studios, but just about any cultural heritage building in Japan becoming risk areas for forced obstruction of business incidents, guess I will have to change the title a bit to reflect this.
