OOC: All right, you know the drill from the outset, this major event RP will help along in my inspiration for making a first visual novel story. Given all my familiarity with astrology for many years, this unusual volume of knowledge should allow me to implement the kind of experience VN genre fans will enjoy for the generations. Thanks in large to Sakuya's Detective and Halloween games as well as my modest success with Walpurgisnacht, my very first one back in late April from last year, I am highly confident that my resourcefulness in writing outlives my writer blockages, so I am happily giving you this, Zodiac Girls RPG.

You are given a Zodiac Chart, showing you the progression of time and which arc we will be focusing on from the long white arrow it is pointing. In each arc, we will focus on a character to help during the Lucians vs. Chasers war set in the late 2210s, the costliest conflict in history. Some are willing to fight, others want to escape from the war, and for others they have their own agendas. We will start at Aries; work our way clockwise through the Zodiac Chart in six-day storylines, and end at Pisces, the twelfth and final arc.

To get to the next arc, you work together as a team to meet a specific character's wants. Some are even willing to romance based on compatibility or merits, but for the rest they just want to be helped and nothing else. Getting a high enough satisfaction meter as the minimum requirement will let you progress to the next mission, but if any Zodiac Girl happens to die at any point, you don't choose the correct dialogue options too frequently to the point of making her uncomfortable or even turning on you, or all participants are killed, then it is game over. If, under certain conditions all surviving players out of four satisfy every single character's wants and keep them alive until the end of the 12th arc, a 13th arc named NG+ Ophiuchus will be presented that will let us encounter the Chaser Queen with no time limit in her homeworld.

Before we begin proper, I only need four players who are willing to join, but at least one player minimum should be ok if going for a casual solo game as more players in would mean tougher enemies but more valuable items.

OOC: The NPC of the girl you will cast is named Liang Zhenyin, a Meridian soldier with a long double spiked spear, fit with ram's horns on her head.

The first arc will be five missions long, and it is a story of a young soldier forced to go to war because the local government says so with a mandatory conscription age of 16 for a 10-year period. The bandit gang, the Xing Clan, claimed recently her biological father who is also her spouse due to their long history of brutality and raiding around southeast Meridia. She isn't paid for being a soldier, which is why the government hired her as a mercenary to oversee the Palanghi Valley, where she lives for all her life.

On a related historical note: Lucia Konohana was a class representative during the whole war at that time, so the whole planet was governed by Emperor Fujimura Katsuhito, age 68.

OOC: I found a shopper NPC girl who is a Libran that can be useful in-between arcs in a safe zone in northern Septima province, a few kilometers away from the frontlines but not a free-roaming zone and the Chasers can't go there. 18-year old senior-class student Holly Sutton runs a nice, middle-class general store, a wealthy Scouser girl hailing from Sylvia, a faraway province on the other side of the planet as a refugee without parents when the war started two years ago and set up shop there. Her prices are reasonable for most of the goods except weapons, ammunition, and armor equipment, which have a 10% tax.

Once we have at least one active player with an avatar all set up, the game will begin immediately starting at Holly's Shop. She will greet the party first and will open her place at dawn but the dealings have to be done in-between arcs (when the long white arrow on your chart isn't pointing at a zodiac sign). Players start regardless of difficulty by number of active players with only 5,000 Azurite to begin, the main currency we use on Lucia. Due to hyperinflation on the economy at the time, it was worth a hundred times more valuable than an American dollar bill and prices tend to fluctuate wildly.

When all deals if any are made and are ready to begin an arc, Holly will part ways with the party and close down her place, in which it won't reopen again until the whole arc is over. Whenever an arc is finished, assuming at least one party member still lives, you're automatically taken back here with full health, so it doubles as a resting place. She also have a younger sister named Molly, a Taurian who will help enchant the party's weapons, armor, and ammo in case of not affording to buy enchanted items straight from Holly at the cost of existing Ionized Crystals found from killing higher-ranked Chasers or in rare chests. Molly can even buy the party's enchanted items not needed for 50% of the item's full value to Azurite at the time of being enchanted in hopes of making a returning fast buck for the ones on offer.

OOC: All right, let's get this over with. You make the character draft with a name, a nice pic from any of the six races (human, elf, neko, elin, lyn, or albino), birth date and associated sign using the Tropical calendar system, occupation, a little backstory including what province the person came from. Or if the person is a dreamer from outside Lucia, then what country represented at the time the dream occurred as an option, and finally, weapon of choice. Confirm your character's info in your post and we'll get started right away. Depending on what race you want to play as, you might have different statistic advantages/disadvantages once you're first introduced into combat with a brief tutorial.

A little disclaimer though before we officially begin since I'll be making a visual novel game when it comes out in September off of this: Anything you wrote in dialogue, the narrations I wrote, and only the information about your character when players want to access it in the pause menu throughout this entire storyline will be used in my game because this is a major canon RP. Although some of the mature-themed elements (mostly blood, violence, certain private scenes with NPCs, and general dialogue) will have to be downplayed to meet the audience rating, because I don't want to put young children at risk if they happen to see the uncensored remastered version later down the road. Also, my apologies if I'm the only one who self-posted multiple times despite the lengthy hiatus.

The font we will use in such a historical RP due to how my people wrote back then will be Serif, unfortunately. 🙁
