Ahh, Generals was fun. But did you know there's a full-featured fan remake of Renegade? IIRC, it's been playable for nearly half a decade, and it looks like there's at least a hundred daily players who've hung around since. Here, have a link! ^^

World of Goo is a game that I wish more people knew about. The gameplay is fun and the artstyle is cute but the whimsical Danny Elfman-esque soundtrack was always my favorite part of it.

Some of my oldest games like NFS: HP 2, 007: Nightfire, and a few others are close to zero popularity, but still played on occasion for nostalgic reasons.

Perhaps old consoles and games tend to stand through the test of time (15+ years) from good care whereas new ones nowadays just tend to have problems very quickly.

Speaking of the PS2 era, most people only know Heavy Iron Studios for Battle for Bikini Bottom and the game adaptation of the Spongebob Squarepants Movie but I think Scooby Doo! Night of 100 Frights is pretty underappreciated. It's easily one of the games I had the most fun exploring since the levels were all pretty varied and I remember it being a decent collectathon. I should dust it off sometime and see how it holds up.

Battle for Bikini Bottom is the best Mario 64 clone ever created.

Been meaning to watch a Let's Play of that for the longest time. Might go do that in a few.

Nights of Azure, game was really good.
I didn't play the new one yet, but the first was awesome.
The game only supports 720p or maybe 1080p but I managed to play it in 4K by changing the render resolution somehow.
