This is a two-hour long pre-recorded meeting involving the three princesses: Lucia, Julis, and Erica from Japan, Germany, and Italy.
~Scene starts~
On a cloudy day in Tokyo, Lucia called in another meeting with two other nations who are longtime allies of her, but it took them days to book their flights amid tensions within their own capitals.
Such delays within the forthcoming rise of the Lucian Empire only made her more impatient as the war looms over her country’s horizons; she took no chances of throwing away any opportunity, frequently sighs as she paces around her throne room.
By the time the clock struck ten, that’s when the two elegant princesses and their dignitaries come up to her door.
Julis: “Permission to come in, we seek your audience, your Majesty?”
Lucia turns around and speaks through the keyhole.
Lucia: “Yes, you may come in. I’ll unlock it.”
And so, with the velvet key in hand, she happily opens the double doors for them to proceed to their seats.
Though her guards are busy at the time this occur, she paid no mind, heads to her throne and when everyone sits down looking at her, smiling, Lucia then leads the negotiations.
Lucia: “I am Lucia Konohana, queen of my home planet and forthcoming legitimate leader of Japan. I served in many battles in the name of the Guardians against Gaia, and currently the commander-in-chief of the 17th KanMusu Fleet. What brings you here to my palace?”
Julis: “I am Julis van Reissfeld, firstborn princess to my family’s throne of Lieseltania from eastern Germany, and currently a high school student of the Seidouken Academy. I hope you’re not referring to my Genestellar kin while I’m here.”
Erica: “And I’m Erica Blandelli, representing the Copper-Black Cross in Milan, one of the many Great Knights of Italy, and high school division student of Jounan Academy.”
Sadly, the 17th KanMusu Fleet is not present in Japan and is out at sea, which left Lucia having no present dignitaries. This leaves the two other princesses to let their guests introduce themselves. Surely, Germany and Italy do have some potential.
Bismarck: “I’m Bismarck, the leader of the 31st Kriegsmarine KanMusu Fleet, you remember me when we last spoke, and I didn’t forget it.”
Prinz Eugen: “Good morning, Miss Konohana. I am the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen, younger sister of Bismarck.”
Graf Zeppelin: “I’m the overseer Graf, the leading carrier division of Bismarck’s fleet. I’m also her secretary.”
Ro: “I’m Ro-chan, designation five-one-one. Getting acquainted with you and others, especially with your nation is great so far.”
Leberecht Maass: "Destroyer Lebe, designation Z1 at your service."
Max Schultz: “Good day, your Majesty, I’m Max Schultz, designation Z3."
Italia: “Battleship Italia of my nation I’m ready to give you true Italian superiority a helping hand.”
Roma: “I’m the state of the art fourth battleship of Vittorio-Veneta class, younger sister of Italia, as well as her secretary.”
Zara: “Pleased to meet you, I’m the first of my line of heavy cruisers, Zara.”
Pola: “I’m the third ship of Zara-class; nothing gets in the way of our nation’s superior cannons.”
Aquila: “Mediterranean-born battle ready aircraft carrier Aquila, good day to see you.”
And with that, Erica then goes along to lead the first of five stages of the negotiations, starting with the Pravda faction.
Erica: “We know a few weeks ago that your relationship with the Pravda forces were… less than cordial is it not?”
Julis: “Strictly speaking, did you by chance get any response from Katyusha or Nonna about your peace treaty with them?”
Without hesitation, Lucia pours over her old map of Japan and neighboring countries, the three princesses’ looked over for a good minute before Lucia breaks the silence.
Lucia: “We suffered too many casualties; they were as strong as us, both in quantity and quality. I didn’t know what we were up against since late March, I was being dragged into a war I didn’t win, and despite my efforts, I ran out of ground and have to put up an armistice. They both agreed without a word, and since then, I made sure such an incident didn’t happen again.”
Julis: “Did your forces make any sufficient advances on your borders, or did you order them to fall back?”
Lucia points to the islands ahead of Hokkaido, presently controlled by Pravda.
Lucia: “You see, Pravda didn’t have a choice, they were gathering up forces roughly a year ago, and somehow they encroached on my territory without provocation. At some point, when I knew things were getting too intense on the strait without a doubt I sent as much as I could within a short span, and they pushed my forces relentlessly back to Hokkaido. By the start of summer, I pushed them back to Kamchatka with support from my current fleet, and no matter what I did, their strength is just… unprecedented as our own.”
Erica: “So… you technically lost the war against Pravda, is what we’re asking?”
Lucia: “Indeed I have, but neither I nor Katyusha secured a victory, so I let them know that I had enough and needed my forces back, and they did the same.”
Erica: “And what else did you do to Pravda after all that?”
Lucia: “I put up a few strict sanctions barring them from interfering in my day-to-day affairs, and that’s that.”
Julis: “Let me get this all clear in our heads, your Majesty. First, you went to war with Pravda because you knew they’re too close to your borders without thought, then you signed a treaty 4 months later, and lastly, you put up restrictions on their economy because you know that if they simply ignore your request, they would just restart a war with you?”
Lucia: “That is correct, Julis. There is never such a time when two equally powerful leaders cannot tell the difference of what is peace or war, but somehow I knew Pravda, and they knew me well. Even though I was once a sworn rival of her, I knew it was the right decision for me to settle an international dispute that I never knew I have succeeded before."
The first stage of the talks has concluded, and the next stage is about other concerns regarding Asia. Julis will take the lead this time.
Julis: “Miss Konohana, we understand that you been closely watching the news concerning the current state of the mainland continent, but other than Pravda, we want to talk about what the other countries are doing now.”
Erica: “With respect, Lucia, have you know by now that Iran, among the others, like Qatar, is possibly suspected of helping the terror regime?”
Lucia: “Since recently, we rarely dealt with such nations as of late, but Iran in particular, they have the resources to knock away another nation clean off, despite our frequent attempts from our envoys to negotiate with them. We didn’t even tried Qatar yet.”
Julis: “Have you ever wondered what would happen if… and not by now, what if the caliphate the rest of the world knows for so long, decides to invade your land? What would you do in the event they ever come to your soil? What are your options?”
Lucia: “I’ll try everything in my own authority to have my law enforcement catching them in the act as non-violently as possible, but given their honorbound morals, it wouldn’t be as easy as you would think. We are fortunate our technology is advanced enough we should have no problem dealing with them.”
Erica: “Even if you did somehow manage to eliminate that portion altogether, considering your recent advancements, what about cybersecurity on your nation’s infrastructure, and how can you approach that issue?”
Lucia: “That would be something our security experts would find it troublesome, and I poured only a fraction of our economy into network protections.”
Julis: “Now, about Syria and Iraq, was there something that caught your attention given the current state of the war?"
Lucia: “While my nation is heavily concerned about home defense, I have seen the many atrocities of a few of my citizens traveling to places that I barred them from doing so in the recent spurring of ambushes since the start of summer. Even the local children that are old enough to walk and talk inducted into the regime, and if they don’t go with said regime’s teachings, bad luck befalls on them.”
Julis and Erica shake their heads in disbelief, but they still have more to say, not wanting to incur Lucia’s wrath.
Erica: “You see the soldiers from many sides of the conflict, how did it make you feel?”
Lucia: “A remorseless, restless being wishing vengeance on those responsible for setting our kin into disarray, that kind of thing.”
Julis: “And what else did you see in those ruined cities?”
Lucia: “There are piles of debris, thousands among thousands desperately pleading for help, not knowing their enemy doesn’t care anything about life other than their own, they want the world to one huge faith amid the hundreds of controversies spewing about in the day-to-day life of an average citizen. No matter what kind of talk anyone wanted to initiate, it almost always spiral into this and that, and all in between, all at once, for the sake of one-sided prejudices.”
Erica: “Seems you have a way of answering such things no other person or society can.”
Julis: “Now, about India, there’s been talk of many recent shutdowns of the net for the slightest reasons, what makes you think about controlling the flow of the internet?”
Lucia: “Do you mean by ‘net neutrality’ or ‘population control’? Probably a bit of both, but I’m more of the former type.”
Julis: “Recently, the Indian general population is longing for democracy, but their borders have long been under dispute by a few countries, and their numbers are too large for that. Were you by chance of seeking their audience?”
Lucia: “We haven’t, and I haven’t got the chance of a formal invitation to visit there. The leader didn’t want any complications that would affect his rule, and he haven’t mentioned one bit about this nation at all. I’m sorry, but I can’t.”
Erica: “No meaning to disrespect, your Majesty, it’s too bad the Indian population were all the more desperate for other nations seeking as much help.”
Julis: “What about the southeastern countries? Your relations with Singapore were a bit strained after you no longer grant them any more soil, is that right?”
Erica: “And what of the Philippines? There’s been a recent string of terrors going on lately, have you yet to talk with the country’s leader?”
Lucia: “I made contact with him, but he didn’t say much and wanted to reassure me that I was okay. About Singapore, by law, I cannot let any country import any more soil than what that country has over the past few years, so I put sanctions on that tiny nation, which only made them berate me for that, but I had no choice.”
As the discussion is halfway done, this is where things get even more interesting, as Julis and Erica, along with their dignitaries wanted to talk about what is happening right now overseas.
Bismarck: “Miss Konohana, your recent progress in the Pacific Theatre regarding the Allied Powers is what brought our attention the most, and we would gladly aid you in your war effort to drive out our common enemies.”
Italia: “What would you do having with us, miss? Our numbers may not be that much, but we have some experience, hmm?”
Lucia pulls out the same map again a bit ago, and points out major locations of where the Abyssals are stationed.
Lucia: “What I want you both to do; is that Bismarck will ensure the protection of the Bering Strait for our future takeover of Juneau, while Italia will swing by around India and form a naval blockade to prevent the British navy from taking back Java. Roma will guard Italy’s coastlines, and Graf will take care of the Atlantic Theatre.”
Julis: “By your word, your Majesty, we’ll make sure Pravda wouldn’t try to blockade us from reaching the other side, in fact, with nearly all that sea ice disappearing, we have an easier way around.”
Erica: “Ahh, a smart leader, and a good strategist at this! We’ll have the East Indies covered within a few months.”
The Abyssal Fleet Event part swiftly goes in Lucia’s favor, and now Erica exclusively takes the lead regarding Italy’s stagnant economy. The Allied Powers will not be alone within the coming months.
Erica: “Speaking of our nation, your Majesty, what about our own nation’s finances? Not to mention the recent spike of ‘quaking’ and some of our volcanoes impatiently wanting to blow their caps off. Say, is there any hope of funding our anti-migration campaign?”
Lucia: “I might be able to, we’re a long ways off from a prosperous economic era, but we’ll probably figure something out.”
Erica: “And I have something else to say, your recent attempts in ridding Gaia off your nation is what makes me come here the most important, so what was your dealings with them?"
Lucia: “For many generations, Gaia has long been my sworn enemy, evolving from the ground up relying strictly on faith and the old magicks, their so-called ‘Key’ is the power source that protects their turf from our incursions, so in retaliation, we rely on advanced tech to protect ourselves and mankind from them. Such a rivalry has been with the two of us for a very long time, but one day, I’ll put an end to that mess where it all started.”
Erica: “And I would be glad to help you on that when the time comes.”
Lucia: “You’re right about that, but Gaia is not my typical enemy, and there have been a bunch of allegiance changes among the many eras we went through that not all of us Lucians are as good-aligned. You see, becoming a Lucian is to know the realization of the truth and wanting to seek out the true meaning of reality itself through our subconscious, a metaphor of how we became them, and I am one of them.”
Finally, the last tidbits of the three princesses’ energy for the day have come, and this is where the two princesses will try to prod her with the toughest questions of her life.
And then, Julis begins speaking to Lucia in her most elegant tone.
Julis: “Your Majesty, I know that you’re planning to run an efficient realm of your own, but how you’re going to manage it? How will you deal with your forty-seven prefectures, your kin, and your officials?”
Erica: “And to add that to what Julis said, what is your true purpose of being here? Do you seek absolute power, do you seek separation from the rest of the world, or do you seek for a reunion for your country?”
This very sentence was the very same ritual spoken to her at the time she became princess over 15 years ago when her planet was attacked by Chasers. Whenever a citizen wanted to become a Lucian even if they’re not associated with Lucia herself, these same three words is what drove her to lead her quest, and she chose Reunion.
Julis is shocked; her eyes wide open in seeing something within her, whereas Erica smiles heartily as Lucia realizes her whole purpose in coming to Earth.
This is when Lucia reveals the whole truth to everyone in the throne room.
Lucia: “As a well-respected queen from a faraway planet, the main reason I come down here is to let the world know that we the Lucians have a reason to stay. I want to seek reunion; it is my sole duty alongside my loyal kin to eliminate all our enemies from the universe, even if it means risking our lives to stop Legion and his affiliates. We fought him and his heretical accomplices for a very long time, and now it is my chance to lead my own guild in my fight to save my planet. We are not just an empire; we are… the Lucian Alliance.”
And that is when the clock struck twelve, the two princesses snap out of their trances.
Erica: “Wow, we never knew we would be very delighted in having a grand alliance. Unfortunately, we run out of time, and we thank you for your time speaking with us.”
Julis: “I am very glad you didn’t even mention my kin, but somehow you reminded me that I am too share a common cause. We’ll that’s it then, we have to go. We’ll catch up with you sometime later.”
The negotiations have finally ended, and Lucia resumes her normal duties. The Lucian Alliance has formed.
