Nya.is is now owned by Josh - the founder of Kitsu/Hummingbird.
When I closed off uploads, he sent me an email expressing interest in keeping the service going; After some conversation with him, I felt that I could trust him with taking over the service as he seems to have similar values to my own; and have sold it to him.
What I concluded while talking to him:
He'll continue to respect users privacy.
He wants to make a service that everyone will continue to enjoy, without cluttering the site with advertisements.
He seems pretty okay.
The files and domains will be transferred to him within the next couple of days, and once that is done; I will no longer have any control of the site. It's sort of saddening to hand over my child; but it's definitely better than closing off the service; and it feels good to hand it over to someone as capable as Josh and I look forward to seeing where he takes it.
