When I looked at the sky this morning from where I live, the color looked exactly like what I saw from watching a live battle scene that occurred six years before I joined. It gave me a spinal chill that makes me quake a bit, giving me a foreshadowing feeling of what is to come, but uncertain of when it will strike. Luckily for me, I have already gathered some allies who will assist me for this upcoming boss battle, but even with these numbers, there is simply NO way we can defeat this thing without additional support. Therefore, I make this special one-time thread for anyone to cast their vote on whether they want to aid us by voting yes, or by voting no to spectate. There is a time limit though; it will end one week before the actual battle, which will take place on the last Sunday of April. If you are unsure about your decision, please feel free to use the PM system, and I will come over and help. Silly you! ^_^ Unfortunately, Walpurgisnacht is more scary than you think. Being upside-down, the way she laughs, and the amount of destruction that can do to you and nearby friends (your cats) just by flapping her arms out from several kilometers away. Your cats will just flee in terror doing nothing the moment they spot this monstrosity. If it wasn't for your cats, then that is another thing to deal with. This witch cannot be dealt with alone; she'll kill you in one hit by lifting up a building or two, and crush you when it lands on top of you with EF5 sustained winds. As far as attacks go, she is invulnerable to most forms of damage, and cannot be reasoned by dialogue, or your fancy cosplay moves. What matters to me more right now is whether you are going to vote or not, but I will let you take your time. hugs you from behind

I am now back with a few small tweaks to my battle map, so here's my second attempt in placing down our units. I cannot 100% guarantee it will work out, but this will have to do for now. The gray dot unfortunately has to go, slightly moved the blue dot, and issued a move order for the gray-gold dot to guard the eastern freeway exit.

We're gonna need labels, love. A key or somethin' would be nice too. No rush, though! ^^

Also, suggestion! Seein' as we've got about a dozen different players gearing up for the fight, I'd say it's best if we start the actual RP in another thread, and dedicate this one to OOC stuff. That's usually how things are done on NationStates, and it's super-helpful when you've got forty, fifty; up to a hundred different countries participating in a conflict.

Just somethin' to consider. :3

Well, I suppose I'll go ahead and enlist. I've built up a decent stockpile of weapons as part of my, uh, hobby and I know a thing or two about Walpurgisnacht as well. You could say that seeing the witch defeated is of mutual interest to both of us. Just a word to the wise, though: if you want to avoid causing any unnecessary calamities an effort should be made to keep anyone from making a contract while the witch is still around. Doing so seems to have immediate and ugly repercussions, or so I'm told.

Say ah, this is the dedicated OOC thread now right? I was wonderin', did anyone ever figure out what Walpurgisnacht actually looks like?

She's obviously female. Me, I've been envisioning her with an aesthetic similar to the Abyssals from Kancolle: Pallid, glowy-eyed qts with a handful of agreeable deformities here and there. What's everyone else think?

2nd pic: Now I can't unsee her final form, she's not just some city-destroying witch just for laughs, she wants the whole universe to herself with her friends.

Apparently the giant gears are actually Walpurgisnacht's "body", the doll thing is just fake. And the gears have always made me wonder if the witch is supposed to be related to Homura in some way, like it's her witch coming back in time to make her life hell.
