ZFS seems pretty cool, unless you're too poor to drop the money for all your disks at once though. BTRFS is broken... what else is there that actually has some more advanced features that prevent write holes and such?
It's pretty much ZFS or BTRFS. I'd try to sort your issues out with BTRFS, i've been running it on multiple servers with no issues for years, in fact it's been a joy to use. I'm happy to help you unbreak BTRFS if you want.

By broken, I'm on about its RAID5/6 issues. Also, someone pointed me to SnapRAID, which might work pretty well.
