The people are nice, there are cute avatars, the site is pleasant to look at, and I can talk about lewd things without feeling too weird about it.

Huh... Y'know, I never thought about it that way. Now that you mention it though, this sorta antagonizing is probably why I don't usually frequent imageboards anymore; post an opinion that doesn't fit their narrative, and they're bound to call you all sorts of really mean things.

I also like the feeling that I'm acquainted with everyone here. It's easy to lose yourself in larger communities, but it's impossible not to bump into familiar faces on Lewd. By my mark, this gives the individual users personality in addition to the community itself, which isn't something I can say for most online forums.

the site theme and colors are amazing, feel so cozy. Also the community has a good mix of anime nerds, comp sci nerds, and people into good music. Just wish there were more artists (drawfriends) who frequented and we had a section for them

I like the pace of the place. On other forums everything moves so fast that you either devote a lot of time every day reading new posts or wall yourself off to all but a few sub-forums or threads. Here, it's slow enough that I can easily be brought back up to speed even if I don't visit for a while but it's also active enough that there's usually something new and fresh to find when I check it again.

the content is sweet, the mods are, uh, ~~the absolute best i dont know what id do without my daily dose of melundolly and the gang~~ pretty good i guess, but the community and the sense of community, and the many many wonderful individuals on the site is really inspiring. ~~they even inspired me to get a job~~
all in all, theres honestly nothing quite like it. it's a gem among gems. and i love every one of you.

For starters staff members. Very nice and not stuck up -beeps- like in other forums. Community only talked to a handful tho all seem very nice. We really do lack anime talks though.
