Started watching Natsu no Arashi! and yesterday. Every scene in the OP references an album cover, which makes the character animation feel super dynamic and fresh.
Someone made nice video showcasing all the cover references:

I'm only at episode 3 and I already love everything about this anime. It's definitely a classic SHAFT production. Hope this keeps up!
Ahh, this looks really nice! I honestly adore anime made from 2000-2010. There seemed to be a lot of experimentation and evolution that occurred throughout the decade, and even its simpler offerings have their own unique charms.
Just binged through the first season and it was pretty enjoyable! At some point I started to wonder, because some of the character designs looked kind of familiar, and it turns out the anime is based on a Manga by the author of School Rumble. Small wonder I liked it so much! ^^
EDIT: I totally agree about the 2000s! Couldn't say which I like more, the 2000s or the 90s... Both have their individual charm ^^ I'm wondering how people will look back onto the 2010s in the future... Maybe as the dark age of Isekai anime and light novel adaptions?
And moeblobs! Can't forget moeblobs. Plus there's the ubiquitous "Cute Girls Doing X" form factor that's proven wildly-successful in the decade following K-On!. You might remember smash-hits such as Cute Girls Doing Cute Things!, Cute Girls but They're Game Devs!, Cute Girls Play Airsoft!, Cute Girls Engage in Tank Warfare!, Cute Girls but They're Outrageously Lewd!; but They're Firearms!, but They're Warships!, They're Detectives!, They're Daimyo!, They're Idols!, They're Monsters!, and They Go Camping and so on, and so forth.
Mind! I ain't knockin' the quality of these shows; almost all the ones I've mentioned are brilliant in their own right, but it's pretty amazing how many series ran with a cast of (mostly) platonically-related high school girls either bound by one particular activity, or sharing a unique and fantastic setting. ^^
