An entire threadkiller in the OP, and not even one mention of Ib? Damn shame.
Sadly I only had a chance to play through the first hour or two of it, but it was still one hell of a ride. The game seems to epitomize the Japanese technique of slow-building horror that exploits human psychology to keep us constantly alert and on-edge; as if every creaking floorboard and yawning corridor warns of an incomprehensible evil out to get us.
