Stories that really need to be experienced in Manga

There are some manga that actually end up making super good anime and the anime is extremely worthwhile. I am not a fan of both reading the manga and watching the anime - I like doing both but I won't experience the same story twice. Although some Manga makes really good anime, sometimes it really doesn't and it really needs to be experienced in Manga form.
What stories do you think especially need to be experienced in the manga instead of the anime?

Yeah I usually do that too. If it's an ongoing anime and it has a manga I'll usually switch to the manga to get further into the story, and won't go back to the anime. If I decide to read a manga, I usually won't go and watch the anime after that, unless it's an extremely good manga.

Death Note. I can't get through one episode of the anime. It is so overly dramatic that it is silly. That potato chip scene...ugh. Not to mention the manga just makes it easier to digest all the rules and crazy plans they throw at you. Don't even get me started on the live action stuff cx
