Are visual novels worth it? I have seen them on steam and never really got into them, what do you even do? Is it just like a book you can view on your pc or what? If I wanted to get into them, what would I start with

Confused you talking about Short Manga? Like Ao no Exorcist or you talking about a game.

I got over 70Gbs of VN's. They are a must PLAY.

whether or not they're worth it depends on your preferences, i enjoy them a lot they're basically interactive, animated and (sometimes) voiced "books" where your choices affect the plot more often than not they're simply dating simulators just try short and free ones like katawa shoujo and see if you like them Mavis wrote Oh like Katawa? Do not pay for them on steam they a rip off when u can get them free "paying for things is a rip off when you can just steal them instead!" are you ok?

So you buy Anime? 12 epps for 40+ dolla yeah k sure u do. Lets all pay for everything and ever get things for free.

Lets all pay for everything and ever get things for free. guess what, it costs money and manpower (which is also worth money) to make stuff, stealing things = no money for developers = no more games = no more things for you to steal, even you should be able to understand this very simple concept i don't give a shit whether you / anyone else here buys anime or whatever, but you can't possibly be THIS stupid (i'm ready to be proven wrong on this aspect) to argue that paying for things you like is a rip off because you can steal them and save your money instead, when that very money is the reason why the things you like are made in the first place "man i sure showed those people who make the stuff i like by robbing them xD" fuck off, if you want to be a thief go ahead but don't recommend others to do the same shit

VNs are like a theater play that you direct. You sit and read, while making "life-changing" choices. Most VNs are made by small studios so they wont contain any action except some "horizontal recreation" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). A good visual novel will deeply engross you in its story and make you want to know more and MORE until you reach 100% completion by choosing every possible outcome. or... Its made by some autism company bloated with hentai and shit. With a shitty story and only exists to take ure money. I trust you will make the right choice if you ever decide to pick up a Visual Novel
