Before I even begin, I will note the fact that I can't really give you the site that I'm referring to in this post, as I'd actually probably be risking breaking advertisement rules or whatever. That's a pain. But fair. Can't be bothered double checking anyway.
This is long-ish, but if you like laughing at me and I know you do, then you will love this story.
So, I'm a part of this murder mystery forum based on a series of games (there's an anime too based on the first game, but whatever) called Danganronpa. The forum I'm on is a fun little thing, has its own community... you get the point. There are a few things I never liked about it such as characters not requiring an actual realistic name and other things that are currently slipping my mind because I'm too focused on what just happened.
TLDR: We all got outsmarted by a 12-year-old girl. Especially me. :sigh:
OOC (out of character), we were all in a skype group (or groups). We have this kind of family thing going on. Obviously, we're not really family, but we act as if we are. So I have an older sister, a younger sister, a mother, a father, a "real" father... All that fun shit. Oh, and I'm older than the parents, but not my older sister. Derp.
In character, someone kills one or two people. We then get to "investigate" areas, the body, whatever and get given information back that we then share in the trial and discuss it all. At the end, we vote on who the killer was, and whoever we vote for is executed. If we fuck up, the person we voted for still dies and the killer does it all again until we're all gone or some shit. /explanation :steve:
The first person to die was my "older sister". Let's just call her Kayla even though just like the little sis and I, she too had a weeb name. So RIP Kayla. Contrary to popular belief, people die when they are killed. In the Skype, Kayla and the little sister who we'll call Anna are going fuckin' crazy blaming me for Kayla's murder. It was hard to tell that nobody was really killed.
Now, Anna looks up to Kayla as her "senpai". Hence why everyone naturally was like "Well, Anna definitely didn't do it". :kys:
I, however, noted that this could easily be a rouse. Additionally, I dug up a bunch of information specifically hoping that I would find things that could put holes in Anna's alibi. And I did. But people didn't pay much attention to it and thought it was all circumstantial. As a matter of fact, since I lacked an alibi and tried so hard to pin it on Anna, they voted me and I was the first to be executed in the killer's place. Yeah, it wasn't me.
Also, it's important to note that I was in a perfect position to try to frame her but backed out at the last minute. I thought that was a little cruel and her character's talent might be more helpful than mine anyway, so I chose to just be the sacrifice. Even though she was adamant it was me.
Next minute, Anna comes running to me on Skype like "OMGGGG I'M SO SORRY!! I DON'T KNOW WHY I THOUGHT IT WAS YOU! I KILLED YOU! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS ALL MY FAULT NOW I HAVE NOTHING LEFT, I LOST BOTH OF MY SIBLINGS AND I'M ALL ALONE AND YOU PROBABLY HATE ME!!!". And feeling bad for her, I was like "Nah, it's okay. I forgive you. You didn't know I was innocent, so you did what you could to try to avenge Kayla. Now you just have to avenge both of us. But I believe in you. And I think it was random name Emily anyway, so do a search of her room for the next investigation. Don't panic. You'll catch this killer and make them suffer". It was like... a monumental conversation... or so I thought...
After TRIAL NUMBER FOUR, they finally get a 3-way-tie on the vote, and one of the people they voted for was Anna... and yep. It was her. And yes, she's a real 12-year-old who has to lie about her age on Proboards and Skype.
To be fair though, I guess she did well. I have a newfound respect for her and she won't be hearing any more age jokes from me anymore. Damn.
