Basically get the New Posts bar at the side of the homepage to show posts from the group subforums, although only posts in groups you have access to. I know there was this issue before with all group posts showing up in everyone's bar, even if they weren't in the group, but now no group posts show up in anyone's bar so you have to manually check to see if there's any recent posts in the groups.
